Fox News Article About Dakota Fanning's Cosmo Cover Quotes "Media Expert?"

Posted by Priscilla -26.60pc on January 05, 2012 · Flag

There is a bit of a buzz going on about the appearance of 17 year old actress Dakota Fanning on the cover of "Cosmo."  Fanning looks drop dead gorgeous in  perfectly appropriate couture that has far less cleavage than your average Fox anchorette. However, according to an article on the Fox News website, some in the media are saying that it is inappropriate for a 17 year old to be on a cover with articles about things like a woman's vagina and hot sex tips. (Does Bill O'Reilly have a copy of it, yet?)  Anyway, the first person whom Fox writer Hollie McKay (who once wrote about poor, persecuted Carrie Prejean) quotes says that this "sends the wrong message." McKay describes Rachelle Friburg as a "media expert." My first thought was that Friburg was part of Brent Bozell's "MediaResearchCenter" or some other "family values" group of zealot prudes. But I was wrong and not even close!

This is Friburg's Twitter resume: "America's Finest City California Girl. Conservative. Political Contributor. Pop Culture/Media Analyst. Blogger. #Palin. #Perry. Beau's mama. Outdoors Girl. High heels & Sports addict." She also has a website "Conservative Girl With a Voice" (Last two threads from November and June of 2011) where she provides more background about herself including the fact that she has a Masters Degree in English. She also mentions appearing on some radio show. And that's all very nice but "media expert?" Really?  Does that mean that Fox News would consider News Hounds, which critiques Fox media, "media experts?" Yours truly was sourced by the Comedy Central blog "Indecision Forever" for my exposure of Fox "holiday" hypocrisy and "The Atlantic Wire" for my "scathing 950 word take-down" of Bill O'Reilly's hypocrisy regarding his advocacy for rape victims. Can Rachelle top that? Just saying...

And BTW, this article is a secondary lede on the the Fox News website "front page."

They’re pumping her up to become part of the Fox News Team. She’s got the criteria.

“she’s 17. A good 4 years too old for the male fans of Fox News like Mark Bernard.”

He does love him his “funbags.”

The only thing Dakota Fanning did that’s really that wrong at this point is star in those Tebow-Awful Twilight movies… which she’s apparently paying with by the considerable talent she had as a child no longer existing. Seriously, every movie she’s had a part in since she joined the Twilight franchise, she’s done an absolutely abysmal job.

If you want Fanning to be a terrible person, just wait a while- I can’t think of one conservative actor or musician that DIDN’T become a person so horrible that their behavior knocked to the D-Listers within two years.

And I donno why, but I have her pegged for doing it the same way Kelly Clarkson did a week ago.

All female humans should remain blissfully ignorant of their own vaginas until they’re at least 18 years old.

If Cosmo is such an inappropriate magazine perhaps Fox shouldn’t even bring it to the attention of their readers, lest those chaste and innocent folks become curious and go buy one! Yikes. They might start thinking that sex is fun or normal. :o
