Last night, The Kelly File featured one of many Fox News discussions about a spike of violence in Chicago. Instead of talking to someone active in the community, the show trotted out two of Fox’s favorite racists: Sheriff David Clarke and Mark Fuhrman. Host Megyn Kelly put on a show of hammy solicitude but this was really a segment designed to highlight Blacks Behaving Badly.
Clarke is one of Fox’s go-to African American black attackers. He has said about Black Lives Matter, “Before long, Black Lies Matter will join forces with ISIS to being down our legal constituted [sic] republic." Clarke has also shown ignorance about Chicago policing in previous Fox appearances.
Furthermore, Clarke’s own jurisdiction, Milwaukee, is rated the sixth most dangerous city in the country in a recent Top 10 list. Chicago did not make the list.
Not surprisingly, host Megyn Kelly, who fashions herself as a “straight news anchor,” did not mention any of that. Nor did she point out Mark Fuhrman’s well-documented history of racism. However, Kelly did have time to point out that Chicago is President Obama’s hometown and that his former chief of staff, Rahm Emanuel, is mayor.
Kelly all but asked Clarke to start bashing Black Lives Matter in her faux-neutral question: “Is this a gang issue or is this a “giving up on gang” issue or is this a “cops are reluctant to do what they’re supposed to do because they think they’re gonna go to jail if they do it” issue?
Clarke mostly blamed the Obama administration for being "too black."
DAVID CLARKE: It’s any of those things But I also think that it is a culturally dysfunctional black underclass in the city of Chicago that’s causing this violence. Look, the folks down in Chicago police department - I’m talking about the administrators, not the cops - the police department has been demoralized under Rahm Emmanuel’s leadership. They’re not afraid to do their jobs, they’re afraid of the United States Department of Justice, Civil Rights Division.
Instead of having lawyers from the Civil Rights Division down there combing through things, looking to snag some poor Chicago police officer for some transgression, they ought to have criminal prosecutors down there, snapping up these gang members, about 1,400 of them that, according to the superintendent, have been identified. Get them off the street. Many of them have warrants, do warrant sweeps, many of them are on probation, snap them up, start to question and start to find out all of the actors. Start doing home searches under the law, which you can do for people on probation and parole, and get these individuals off the street. But instead, we have lawyers from the Civil Rights Division investigating the cops, this whole thing in Chicago is upside down, it is ass backwards.
Kelly didn’t challenge anything Clarke said, nor did she question how he knows so much about what’s happening in a jurisdiction he has nothing to do with. Instead, she asked Fuhrman, "Do you think that there were – the cops have been demeaned by members of the public?" I think we all know which "members of the public" she suggested were "demeaning" the cops and thus hamstringing them.
FUHRMAN: Absolutely. They’ve been demeaned and they’re afraid to actually go out and do the job they really want to do, and aggressively be cops because the leadership directly in the ivory tower is not going to support them when they’ve got attorneys from the Civil Rights Division waiting to pounce on them for anything that they do that might even look like it might be a violation of the law.
Then, Kelly put on her most “I care” voice as she said melodramatically, “People are being just massacred.”

Also, ever since masturbating over the pages of “The Bell Curve” went out of vogue with conservatives, crocodile tears over black murder rates masquerading as an excuse to pimp the superiority of white culture over black has skyrocketed.
Why hello Megyn!
Clarke talking of sweeping the streets made me wonder if he only dreams of the day police can grab black youth off the street and ship them to GITMO.
When you look at modern conservative heroes like Clarke and Trump it dawns on you how little it would take to march America to Fascism.
