After the Hannity show canceled Russell Brand's booking, Brand decided to pay a visit to Fox anyway and ask for a tour. Watch what happens next.
Brand has made some scathing - and right on target - videos criticizing both Sean Hannity and Fox News of late. Apparently, the Hannity show invited Brand and then decided against it. So Brand took the bullies by the horns and planted himself outside of Fox headquarters and began recording.
I think this could make a great series, don't you? Watch it below and share your thoughts in our comments section.

Forget confronting Hannocchio at that hideous skyscraper. It’s surrounded by security, and these frauds slip in through a secured entrance guarded by those men in the nice pressed coats.
Others in the past have confronted Hannocchio at one of his numerous events. All this clown does is smile into the video camera. He is well schooled in not getting into a confrontation with liberals. Bodyguards and other security accompanied him to his events. A few people have been tossed from his event by these same guards.
When he does his show on location his makeshift set is guarded by security. He enters and exits through a secured entrance that is well-guarded. One time he entered through a kitchen at one event years ago.
If Brand wants the goods on Hannocchio he could hire a private investigator. Hannocchio has numerous skeletons in his closet, and there are people who know his seedy side.

Sorry Ellen, I just can’t buy what you’re claiming here.
I watched the clip twice more, and I still saw and heard what I did the first time I watched it: a shifty-looking (why are Brand’s eyes all over the place?), much too loud (is he channeling Robin Leach?), arm-waving man who is trying to make some superficial points about anti-Muslim bias at FNC. Instead, he comes across to me as unprepared and inarticulate, and actually not very serious.
Where and when did he, as you say “confront,” anyone from Fox… management, Hannity or O’Reilly themselves?
He only interacts with security people who may be from Fox or just building management employees and NOT Fox. And he’s quite meek about it. They ask him to stop “filming” in front of the lobby window, and he gets up and stops his monologue. He then walks inside the lobby (with the camera running from outside the building) and asks for a tour, then asks to go upstairs to see Hannity.
He gets turned down on both counts and then gets back in his vehicle. What’s confrontational about this?
For that matter, how does anything in the clip lead you to believe Brand was “almost” arrested, as you stated in the post headline? I certainly didn’t see him putting up any resistance to the security men.
If this is what you call confrontation, I do not think Hannity or O’Reilly are shaking in their boots.
If I could get down there some evening and confront Slanthead (I don’t know enough about BOR) on his daily trip between his radio show studio a few blocks up 6th Ave. and the FNC building, I’d have a few questions for him:
Which leads me to one more question for you Ellen: has not Hannity ranted on about this stuff on teevee this past week? I’ve not seen anything about it here.
I will agree with you that more people should confront Fox. I’d love to see actual confrontation of Hannity, et. al. from a serious but calm and cool, professional who won’t be rattled by the bullying, etc. Sad to say, I don’t think that person will be Russell Brand.

- Why did he never put on a uniform and why does he claim his father’s WWII service was good enough?
- Why has he refused to follow through with his waterboarding vow?
- What has he done with all that $$$ skimmed from those sham freedom concerts?
- If I could bump into Hannity soon, I’d ask him why has he been stoking fear all week about Ebola, ISIS and Muslims coming through the Southern Border? (On the radio, he’s had on Rep. Duncan Hunter, that wacko MD Mobley, and others, lapping up every hysterical lie that comes out of their mouths.)
- Why does he despise Dr. Tom Frieden so much? (Every day, he’s attacked the CDC director almost every minute on the air… but on Friday, he finally admitted the real reason: “He [when he was NYC Health Commissioner] wanted to take away my Big Gulp!”)

Bob Roberts, I thought Hannity had challenged Brand, too. But when I went back and watched the only video I had about Hannity mocking Brand, he didn’t. So I don’t know what happened.

Joe Marsh, Brand has made a series of videos in which he speaks very intelligently and knowledgeably about Fox News bias, distortions and spin. The reason I especially liked this segment is because Brand actually confronted Fox. This is something I wish more people would do. Frankly, I don’t understand why not.
I’d love to see a series of Brand confronting various people who work at Fox News.

Am I wrong, or do I remember that Klannity challenged Brand to come on his show and debate him. And then when it came time (probably after Klannity’s staff saw Brand on other shows and realized he couldn’t be flustered by the likes of their boss) his appearance was cancelled, so Klannity could do another Question of the Day segment. Maybe Klannity could have shown Brand some of the Philipino martial arts skills he has been practicing.

Joe, Brand has a running series within his show where he talks about Fox News US for his British viewers. Americans know all this, they just like the way he says it. And frankly, while I’m not sure this wouldn’t get old fast as a series, I would love to see him ambush Hannity, Jesse Watters style.

Antoinette: “They will not go after someone filming inside their own car.”
Or standing on the sidewalk on public side of the property line. Or they shouldn’t. But why stand there with a camera person and attract attention in the first place?
Antoinette said “If Brand was smart…” He obviously isn’t. A smart person would have indeed used a tiny camera, like a GoPro, been whispering into a concealed lav mic and by himself done a POV shoot throughout much of the building (where he could wander without a pass) without attracting any attention.
Of course that assumes Brand had something intelligent to say in the first place; something to contribute. I’ve not paid attention to him before, but frankly, I felt that YouTube clip he posted was totally pointless. What’s he telling us… that BOR and Slanthead are biased against all Muslims? We know that. If Brand (whose accent is annoying) had one tenth the biting satirical ability of a Jon Stewart, he might be worth the time. If he was capable or clever enough to achieve a true ambush video on BOR or Hannity when they enter or leave the building, then maybe I’d bookmark his channel.
Frankly, I can’t understand why Ellen got excited by this nonsense and suggested it could be a “great series.”

I personally think Brand knew exactly what he was doing. Seriously, even if Fox News does it to everyone… How’d they come off looking? Like complete hypocrites who don’t understand “Private Property” when Jesse Watters or Griff Jenkins invite themselves into someone’s property to harass them, but will respond to someone who shows up at their door like he was trying to walk in with an AR-15.
There’s also the matter of that they acted like, even if they do it to everyone… They were flat hostile with Brand, almost like they were offended he was there. When he said he wanted to talk to Hannity, what was the response?
Brand could have handled it better, but he made this point just fine.I’m actually on pins and needles to see if O’Reilly has the balls to bring in Watters talking about this, or if he sends Watters out to Ambush Brand. God, that’d play into the game so well…

Filming on the property of News Corporation/21st Century Fox is forbidden. The building security in their nice pressed suits will confront you, ask who you are, and demand that you leave the property.
Brand was sitting alongside the building which caught the attention of security. Legally, like Joe said, they have the right to remove him.
You can film in front of the building inside a car. Legally it’s not on News Corp. property and security can’t stop you. Security is hired to protect the property. They will not go after someone filming inside their own car. If they did they would probably be terminated due to the fact they went outside the property into public streets.
Security is tight at News Corporation and employees wear badges around their necks. You can’t use the News Corp. gym without your badge.
Security is station outside the Fox “News” glass doors and other areas inside the building.
If Brand was smart he could have gotten a tour of the building through other non-News Corp. tenants that rent office space inside the News Corp. building. He could have filmed his segment inside the building.
NOTE TO BRAND
Try using a hidden camera on a baseball cap next time.

To answer Joseph West… yes, the portion of the sidewalk adjacent to the Fox building — any building in NYC — is private property. It extends to the property line, which on normal width sidewalks is about halfway out.
Putting Brand’s amateur rhetoric aside, it seems to me that he was either squatting or sitting alongside the building at first, so they were within their legal rights to ask him to leave. And if he didn’t, he could be arrested for trespassing.
If he had stood outside the property line, they might not have made an issue. But being FNC goons (or the building landlord’s thugs), who knows.
Brand could have been a lot smarter about this; since he was wearing a wireless mic, the camera person could have stayed inside the van. But maybe he wanted a confrontation?
And no, none of the millions of people in Manhattan who every day cross property lines for ordinary purposes do not get arrested.

So, the sidewalk in front of the NewsCorp building is private property? I wonder how many New Yorkers get arrested for trespassing on a daily basis?
