Eh, Mitt’s speech was just okay. Good enough I suppose but certainly not what I’d call impressive. Did he at least tell a few less lies than Ryan did? LOL!
And Eastwood? What the hell was that?! We were cringing as we watched his speech/performance. It was just painful.
And was he pretending that the President told him and Romney to go eff themselves?! Really? Did I catch that right? If so, that was completely tacky of Eastwood. Gawd, how embarrassing for Eastwood and the GOP.

From Truman’s comment:
“A new Cold War with Russia……”
Does that mean another snowball fight?!?

Just tuned on to F&FF (hoping for an update on Isaac) and heard two snippets from Romney’s speech that sounded awfully familiar. Paraphrasing, they were:
1) Can you say that you are better off now than four years ago?
2) For the first time, your children cannot expect to be better off than you are.
Correct me if I’m wrong, but didn’t those two trends start during the Clinton administration and were they not to continue to deepen inexorably during the eight years of the Bush administration?
If my recall is correct, I can only conclude that eight years of republican management marked by full control of Congress failed to make a difference. I doubt that Romney will be any more successful because his campaign is sounding more and more like the ones for Bush junior.

Decided to watch FoxLite (CNN). To my amazement, the post-speech panel discussion had people who actually said something that was not blind cheerleading. Mostly lukewarm criticism but refreshing still.
I, personally, do not believe that totally unbiased journalism is possible if only because the range of possible stories is so large: the very act of selecting which ones to report on is a judgement call. There is, however, a big difference between trying to get all sides involved and tipping the scale towards one side over the other. Panels are great if the members are of different minds; mind-bottlingly boring if they’re lop-sided (unless the audience wants only corroboration of its beliefs, of course).
Missed Juan Williams on the post-speech three-foxy panel with Ann Coulter. He looked relaxed at the end, suggesting that his reference to Ms Romney as a corporate wife may have been scripted after all.

I missed a lot of it, but I’ve noticed an interesting meme forming where far right outlets trying to change the subject from the content of the speeches to trying to say this convention proves the left is racist.
Putting aside that I’d like to know how that works, I think it’s really saying something that a lot of these people can’t talk about the actual event. I mean, Mia Love and Condi Rice had some good points, even though their histories and other segments of their speeches contradict them…
Why couldn’t they focus on that, instead of playing some race card conspiracy?

So many Blonde Wives it looks like Laguna Beach.
Mitt forgot one very important fact – America’s Greatest Generation was 100% Employed by Washington, not corporate America. Strange how GOPtards don’t understand that.
Uh-oh. Brit Hume: This was not a soaring speech… this was a good speech… not a great speech.
Most important job Mitt wants to create is Mitt-POTUS!
The Black Guy gets ta sing. See, there is a place for Blacks in rMoney’s America.
Now it’s time fer two White Couples ta wave and smile!!! I wonder if Mitt can do that in Cantonese …
Yes.
Mittens is getting the gNOpigs all paranoid by showing them what big brass raisins he has.
A MORMON WITH A PASSION FOR KILLING!
YEEEEHAAAAW!
WWJD?

Now Mitt’s tellin’ folks all the bad things that are Obama’s fault. Interestingly, they all came about due to corporate out-sourcing and down-sizing. Maybe the rMoney family needs to hire lots more servants, about 23 million.
Wow! Mitt can fix America in 5 easy (non specific) steps! yipeee, we’re saved! What a clown!
I notice he didn’t say if these jobs will pay more than minimum wage.
