BREAKING: According to New York Magazine's Gabriel Sherman, the Murdochs have decided to remove Roger Ailes from Fox News and the only question is whether it will be before the Republican convention ends this week or after.
From New York:
Roger Ailes's tenure as the head of Fox News may be coming to an end. Rupert Murdoch and sons Lachlan and James — co-chairmen and CEO, respectively, of parent company 21st Century Fox — have settled on removing the 76-year-old executive, say two sources briefed on a sexual-harassment investigation of Ailes being conducted by New York law firm Paul, Weiss. After reviewing the initial findings of the probe, James Murdoch is said to be arguing that Ailes should be presented with a choice this week to resign or face being fired. Lachlan is more aligned with their father, who thinks that no action should be taken until after the GOP convention this week. Another source confirms that all three are in agreement that Ailes needs to go.
Wow. Just wow.

NOTE TO FEMALE STAFF/EMPLOYEES/INTERNS AT FOX “NEWS”
It’s time to call Carlson’s attorney and tell her everything about this fool, and others. Call Smith Mullin, P.C. at (973) 783-7607. Pass the number to anyone who is willing to talk. Ailes MUST GO NOW!
And, in addition to Ailes, I’d like to see the Murdochs take a look at dumping Daddy Douchey too. He’s Ailes’ lapdog and leads a show that is propaganda-driven with very little actual “fair & balanced” info being provided to the folks.
I do have a question if anyone knows, is Gretchen only suing Ailes and not Fox and/or News Corp? I ask this because if they do fire him that would be admitting guilt before the trial.
Assuming Sherman is correct (and I believe he is), it will be interesting to see how the channel maintains its consistent talking points. My thinking is that they’ve effectively internalized Ailes’ thinking. But it would be something to see Fox News go rudderless.
My guess: Corey Lewandowski.
He apparently knows how to work the power brokers in right wing media/politics: hell — Drumpf is still taking advice from Lewandowski AFTER he fired him as campaign manager.
Plus, as Lewandowski is currently a commentator on CNN, this would fit with that other CNN (aka Fox Lite)-to-Fox transfer, Lou Dobbs . . .
