Bill O’Reilly was so busy insisting President Obama has been a failed president, he didn’t pay attention to how silly he sounded in the process.
In a discussion that included Democrat Jessica Ehrlich, O’Reilly called Obama “very weak, particularly abroad.” O’Reilly added, “And as I said to Barney Frank last night, there isn’t anything, not one accomplishment, not one Jessica - and if you have one I want to hear it right now - of President Obama’s foreign policy, which includes Hillary Clinton as Secretary of State. There’s nothing to point to, is there?”
Ehrlich answered, “He’s accomplished the goals that he set out in 2009.”
O’Reilly interrupted. “Give me one, give me one accomplishment that’s made this country better overseas.”
”He wanted to withdraw the troops from Iraq,” Ehrlich said.
“Guess what’s happening in Iraq now? Is that a better situation?” O’Reilly demanded.
”It’s what he set out to do, and that’s what the American people wanted him to do,” Ehrlich replied.
O’Reilly interrupted again. “That’s not what a President is in office to do. President is in office to make the country stronger. …Barney Frank couldn’t give me one, and you can’t give me one either. Not one accomplishment in six years overseas!”
Actually, Frank did name an accomplishment during his O’Reilly Factor appearance the night before. Similar to what Ehrlich had just cited, Frank praised Obama for "cutting back on the excessive involvement of the United States in other countries.”
However, Ehrlich now added, “Let’s say, Osama Bin Laden” as one of Obama’s overseas accomplishments.
”He had nothing to do with that,” O’Reilly insisted. “That was U.S. Intel and the Navy SEALs taking him out. He just said, ‘Do it.’ Come on.”
”It happened under his watch,” Ehrlich argued.
“So what?” O’Reilly asked. “If that’s what he’s got after six years? That’s dismal.”
No, that’s not all. Here’s a link to some more foreign policy gains.
