Apparently, the opening segment of The O'Reilly Factor last night, Obama Leads With Women Voters, was just a little too pro-Obama. Because in the second segment, guest host Juan Williams asked both his guests – Democrat Leslie Marshall and conservative talk show host Janine Turner – to advise Romney how to win women back. When Turner failed to answer the question adequately, Williams gave her a do over. Instead of an opinion show, which is what the O’Reilly Factor show is supposed to be, we got “hypothetical” advocacy. From a liberal guest host, no less.
“I know you saw that last segment,” Williams said, starting with Turner. “I want to ask you, what does Mitt Romney have to do, what can he do to regain favor among female voters – especially female voters under 50?”
Turner started out talking about how Romney should attack President Obama and “ObamaCare.” But as she veered into the weeds of ObamaCare, Williams steered her back to advising Romney. “But you were gonna tell me, remember Janine? You were gonna tell me what Mitt Romney’s going to say to these young women. I didn’t find that persuasive. So try it again. I give you a do over.”
Can you think of any discussions on Fox centered on advice for President Obama to get re-elected? And where the pro-Obama guest would get a do over to be more persuasive?
By the way, as Marshall pointed out that Obama has gained a lot of support from women in recent weeks, Williams interrupted to say, “I know that. What I’m trying to do is, how can Mitt Romney fix it? And I’m wondering, what about appointing a Sarah Palin type to be his Vice President?”

Interesting strategy: Mittens — the pioneer of gov’t-run health care in Massachusetts — should attack the President on . . . gov’t-run health care.
Sounds like a winner, Jan. You gotta love it whenever Fox brings in one of the “librul Hollywood elite” to give advice on political strategy . . .

Yeah, Juan — that worked so WELL in 2008 . . .
