Yesterday, on Your World, Neil Cavuto went to Capitol Hill to discuss the "fiscal cliff" and to put on his "superhero" cape to try and solve it. But his lineup of guests suggested a certain um, bias.
Here was his guest list:
- Sen. John McCain (R-AZ)
- Former Wyoming Senator Alan Simpson, part of the Simpson-Bowles Debt Commission, Republican
- Sen. Rand Paul (R-KY)
- Rep. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD) the lone Democrat on the show
- Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL)
- Sen. Joe Lieberman (I-CT)
Four Republican Senators, one Independent Senator,and one Democratic Congressman. That's "fair and balanced" Fox News style.

Well, when you look at the composition of the panel, it really is “fair and balanced.” You’ve got two doddering old GOPers (one already out, the other likely to follow suit by 2016), two Teabaggers, one Independent GOPer-in-all-but-name and one Democrat.
So, see. It IS “fair and balanced.” The doddering old fogeys are balanced by two young Teabaggers. (And you’ve got a real Democrat balanced by an old traitor to the Democratic Party—which, by FoxNoise standards, still counts as a Democrat.)
FoxNoise—where “fair and balanced” means what we want it to mean. And “We’ve always been at war with Eastasia” was merely a guideline.
