What a coincidence that the morning before Jeb Bush took to the Republican convention podium and defended his brother, George W. Bush, especially with regard to President Obama, Brian Kilmeade brought up the very same talking points.
On yesterday’s Fox & Friends, Brian Kilmeade said to guest Jeb Bush, “It’s been amazing, this convention like the last one, there’s not a Republican defending the Bush administration, the eight years. There’s no one saying let’s look at this logically and talk about the economic collapse and where it emanated. Let’s not talk about the 52 months of economic growth. Governor, have you ever been tempted to say, ‘OK, let’s get this straight, it wasn’t one guys fault?’"
Bush nodded and laughed. “I do that all the time. That’s kind of my role in life right now is to do that. I’ll mention that in my speech tonight.”
Think Progress lists five reasons why George W. Bush is to blame for why the economy is still struggling. But don’t expect them to get any cred from the curvy couch crew.
