Hannity Pretends Romney Won Tonight’s Debate

Posted by Ellen -391.60pc on October 16, 2012 · Flag

While two polls and most Democrats seem to agree that President handily won the debate tonight, Sean Hannity thought otherwise. And, surprise, surprise! He dissembled in making his point.

Hannity seemed genuinely upbeat which leads me to think he genuinely thought Romney did well (although I guess he might have just dug up some “new” old race video to hit Obama with tomorrow). But then Hannity said, “A CBS Insta Poll came out on the economy that shows that shows Romney won tonight, 65/35.”

In fact, the poll (of uncommitted voters) found that President Obama won the debate, 37/30 with 33% undecided. Obama won 55/49 on “gave direct answers to questions.” It’s true Romney won on the economy, though by 65/34. But Romney lost 6 points on that score from the last debate and Obama gained 7. But when the voters were asked who would do a better job for the middle class, Obama won 56/43.

Hannity also didn’t mention the CNN poll of registered voters which found that Obama won the debate 46/39%, though the results fell within the margin of error. Many Democrats also agree that Obama won.

However, I'm sure that Fox will set upon attacking debate moderator Candy Crowley and rehashing the Libya questions ad nauseum thus doing their best to ensure that the public comes to agree with Hannity, assuming that's possible.

Visitor: I love how Conservatives are obsessed with absolving “The Innocence of Muslims” role in the riots and the Benghazi attack. If the riots and subsequent deaths were over a video portraying Jesus that way, they’d have Steve Klein and Bassaly Nakoula “tillered” by now.

Several terrorist sects (not just Al-Queda) used the protests over the video turning violent as cover to take out targets they would have otherwise never gotten to, with little or no planning. Obama said it was a terrorist act the first day, but was wise enough to not name names- unlike Bush, who was planning a counter-attack against Iraq before he had even addressed the people.

Fox News wants this to be some kind of conspiracy, and they’re not even smart about it. Everyone cleared to speak about the matter said that the attack was so spontaneous they weren’t gonna name names until they could confirm protestor or terrorist, that apparently equates to a cover up in Fox world.

KKKlannity lives in a make-believe world created by Wrinkled Rupert and Jabba T. Ailes. MagicUnderwear MItt won, Fux Noise is a news organization, KKKlannity is real journalist.

Just for giggles, I stopped by Fox Nation for a few minutes to slop with the regulars a bit.
1. The winner of the debate, without any doubt, was Mitt Romney….by a mile.
2. Michelle Obama violated the Rules Of The Debate by physically clapping when Crowley fact-checked Mitt. (The FN ‘story’ differentiates between physical & auditory clapping, which I found hard to understand!)
3. The racial anger is at a fever pitch….quite possibly the highest level I’ve ever seen there.

Now, I need a bath to rid myself of their scum.

The fact rMoney lied about no terrorist reference on 11/12 shows rMoney is not cut out to be POTUS:

a) rMoney flat out lies much of the time
b) rMoney won’t fact-check
c) rMoney’s advisors won’t fact-check
d) b) & c) are wrong of course, rMoney & his advisors knew the facts, they just flat out lied.

As I stated before, lying is a non-issue for rMoney, he has left a documented trail of lies that span decades. Pathological liars need not apply for the position rMoney seeks.

@Lori, by the way, you conveniently forgot the first part of Candy Cowley’s statement from last night. Here, let me pick that up for you:

CROWLEY: Well, you know, again, I heard the president’s speech at the time. I sort of re-read a lot of stuff about Libya because I knew we’d probably get a Libya question, so I kind of wanted to be up on it. So we knew that the president had said, you know, these acts of terror won’t stand or whatever the whole quote was.

And I think, actually, you know, because right after that, I did turn around and say, but you are totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that there was a — you know, this riot outside the Benghazi consulate, which there wasn’t.

So he was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word. And I — you know, they’re going to parse and we all know about what the definition of is is, but, you know, in the end, I think John’s probably right. I think there’s a lot more to do with jobs and the debt crisis, and all of that kind of stuff. I just think probably it was one of those moments, and I could even feel that here.

You’ve learned how to cherry pick very well, Lori. Chalk one up for your FoxGOPTV masters.

I would think an intelligent response to each debate would be if Obama had the opportunity to redo the first debate at its conclusion he would, while Romney would like a do-over from last night’s performance. I know it’s difficult to put our bias aside when we look at something with our hearts and not heads, but I can’t honestly say that the President did well in the first. He was awful. I can’t deny it or even attempt to spin it. He lost. The past two weeks have been demoralizing watching the right continually do their end zone dance, and with the poll numbers (which I guess we’re now suppose to trust and feel that they are now legitimate again since they were now positive for Mitt) will hopefully head back in the President’s direction thanks to last night. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Saying that intelligent Americans feel this way only comes across as arrogant and snobbish, that only those who agree with your opinion or come close to you deserve the honor of being labeled as intelligent.

Scum Hannity has no credibility on anything, especially debates. Romney could have walked off the stage 10 minutes in and Hannity would have said “Great move by Governor Romney. That really put the president in a tough spot.” Hannity is pathetic, and a asshole.

@Lori, Crowley was correct when she told Etch-a-Sketch Rmoney that it was in fact true that on 9/12/12 President Obama did call it an act of terror. She did mention something about that not being released to the public for about 2 weeks.

From the President’s actual Rose Garden Remarks Transcript from 9/12/12.

No acts of terror will ever shake the resolve of this great nation, alter that character, or eclipse the light of the values that we stand for. Today we mourn four more Americans who represent the very best of the United States of America. We will not waver in our commitment to see that justice is done for this terrible act. And make no mistake, justice will be done.

http://www.whitehouse.gov/the-press-office/20…

Now this may be difficult for you to understand, but when President Obama said “No acts of terror” he was in fact talking about the terrorist attack in Libya and was in fact acknowledging that it was a terrorist attack. The evidence is right there, Lori. Believe your own eyes, or believe Etch-a-Sketch Rmoney’s lie. The choice is yours. I choose not to believe Etch-a-Sketch Rmoney’s lie.

@al in la. Thanks for the input. hon and cupcake wasn’t meant as sexist. honey, hon, cupcake, etc…is what I call children when I’m trying to explain things to them that’s beyond their normal level of comprehension.

Klassic KKKlanity. MagicUnderwear Mitt whined away the debate with stale talking points and a constipated look on his face. But on Fux Noise, he’s a “winner.” Just ask whoremongering toe-sucking pervert Dick Morris or Frank Luntz’s fake focus group. Tomorrow, Fux Noise will trot out “Dr” Quack Allblow for one of his crackpot theories.

Roger Ailes wrote Hannity’s post debate critique about a week ago. Of course the right wing nut jobs will claim Romney won. That is all they know how to do. If he had gone silent after the first question, and never spoke again, they would say he won. I must add that I am haunted by the strange look that was pasted on Romney’s face throughout the entire debate. He had an almost sinister and smug smile that seemed to say, “If I keep smiling, maybe the irresponsible takers in the national audience won’t realize that I am losing this debate. What do I care, they won’t vote for me anyway.”
I have voted in 12 presidential elections, and I have never seen a more critical election than this one. One thing for Hannity to chew on: Last night that “bastion of Liberal thinking”, George Will stated without hesitation that President Obama won the debate.

Visitor 55-

The facts:
CNN transcript of Crowley’s statement on September 28th:
“The question I think too is what you asked and Peter King wouldn’t play, but the idea is why would you be so adamant? When most people look and said, well of course it’s a terrorist attack. I mean, they had you know large weaponry. It’s not something you bring to a protest. And now we’re finding out there might not even have been a protest at the time this attack took place. So I think there are lots of questions to be answered here that the administration is going to have to talk about.

And then her statement last night after the debate when she tried to ressurect herself:
“And I think actually, you know because, right after that I did turn around and say, but you’re totally correct that they spent two weeks telling us this was about a tape and that that there was a, you know, this riot outside the Benghazi consulate which there wasn’t.

So he was right in the main, I just think he picked the wrong word. And I, you know, they’re going to parse and we all know about what the definition of is is, but, I, uh, you know, in the end, I think John [King]’s probably right. I think this has a lot more to with jobs and the debt crisis and all of that kind of stuff."

Lori Stringer [a loyal Fox News viewer, I’m guessing] begins by saying: “What I and intelligent Americans (no matter their lean) take from the 2 debates…”

Am I the only one to notice that she makes a distinction between herself and “Intelligent Americans”?

Bet she now wishes she said “What I and OTHER intelligent Americans…” But she wasn’t clever enough to do that—thus proving my point.

AND note to Visitor 55: calling her "hon’ and “cupcake” only makes you sound like a sexist jerk.

@Aria, bwhahaha! Ethc-a-Sketch Rmoney actually believes that Candy Crowley is a liberal. I guess since Rmoney watches nothing but FoxGOPTV, he concludes that anyone who doesn’t reside in the FoxGOPTV cesspool must be a liberal.

Candy is far from being a liberal and I suspect would be offended at being called a liberal. However, last night she was a little liberal when she corrected Rmoney’s lie. President Obama did in fact call the attack in Benghazi an “act of terror” in the Rose Garden on 9/12. Good for Candy to set the record straight. Good smackdown that Rmoney deserved.

@Lori, hon, you’re not in the same category as intelligent Americans. Intelligent Americans will vote for President Obama to serve a second term. That, cupcake, is a fact.

Lori, it might be true that Romney does what he says as you contend. The problem is that you can’t be sure that what he says today, will not change tomorrow.

@ Lori

America is not a corporation that can be downsized (unless you ‘fire’ 47% ?), run on lowered wages and finally “Harvested” after 5 to 8 years for the benefit of the CEO and his pals. You clearly have No Idea what has been going on in the world for the last 67 years.

What I and intelligent Americans (no matter their lean) take from the 2 debates is that Romney is a man that can be counted on to do what he says and to perform strongly every time, 100%. Obama may or may not show up. He performed 1 out of 2, 50%. Both Romney and Obama were strong in tonights debate however Obama cannot be counted on. This is shown more contrastingly in Obama’s track record of the last 4 years and that cannot be erased. It cannot be ignored nor spun. e as a nation and a people are worse off today than we were at the onset of the Obama presidency 4 years ago and 2 of those years had a democrat house and senate. These facts and not knowing which Obama will show are an undeniable truth.

From Mitt Romney’s FB page:

“Presidential Debates: Mitt Romney 2 – Barack Obama 0

In tonight’s performance by both candidates Barack Obama did his best to dance and weave with his lies and false attacks but Mitt Romney had the truth and his points hit squarely for another win tonight despite another poor liberal moderator who did her best to help the failing contender including backing him up in a …lie about Benghazi and the Rose Garden. And the last and final debate will be about…you guessed it, foreign policy so get ready for a KO next week! American needs Mitt please keep him and his family in your prayer and God bless America!"

In other words, Romney declared himself the winner, then turned around and admitted he lost to blamed Crowley for his defeat. Let me repeat that:

Mitt Romney flip-flopped on whether or not he believes he won the debate.

Let that sink in. And you know which side of that Fox News is on- without the facts.
