Sean Hannity’s plan to make political hay out of Hillary Clinton and Bill de Blasio’s racially charged “CP time” joke didn’t quite go as planned.
In case you missed it, Clinton and de Blasio appeared in a skit over the weekend at a fundraiser that included a joke about “CP time.”
Sean Hannity was obviously not offended by the joke. He admitted he hadn’t known what “CP time” meant. But his big beef was that Republicans couldn’t make such a joke. Even though it didn’t appear that Clinton and de Blasio got away with it, either.
“Here’s the thing. I can’t stand the double standard,” Hannity complained to guest Eric Guster. This, from the guy who often allows racial attacks on his own show.
“If this was Trump, Cruz, this would be the end of their campaign and the outrage and the indignation would be phony,” Hannity continued.
“It would not be the end of the campaign,” Guster replied. “Trump has ignited racial flames all over the country.”
“Stop! Stop!” Hannity interrupted.
To his credit, Guster didn’t stop. “He has supported people who’ve decked black protesters,” Guster continued. “He’s offered to pay legal fees for people who’ve attacked – “
Hannity interrupted. “You’re a broken record. You say this every time you’re on. That’s months ago.” As if Hannity would have forgotten a Democratic presidential candidate who offered to pay the legal fees of a supporter who decked a protester. Heck, Hannity can’t stop talking about Rev. Wright.
“Because it’s the truth. That’s why I’m repeating it,” Guster said.
“It’s not racist. Nothing he’s said is racist,” Hannity insisted.
Guster answered, “I said he’s fanning racial flames. That is what he’s doing.”
“OK, that’s calling him racist and that’s total BS!” Hannity said excitedly.
“His language and his rhetoric fans the racial divide in our country and he’s actually supporting it,” Guster shot back.
Watch it below, from the April 12 Hannity.
Pretty much all one needs to hear from seannie poo to know where his little brain is at.
Making a molehill out of Trump’s steady stream of bile aimed at anybody with pigment darker than copy paper is gonna take some doing. Looks like OT for slanthead.
