Leave it to white-racist loving Sean Hannity to deliberately stoke fears of black radicals involved in the Ferguson, Missouri protests. This is the same guy who championed Cliven Bundy’s armed protests against federal BLM agents without a concern for the radicals hanging around or the danger they might have presented. And it just so happened that Bundy turned out to be quite the racist.
Although Hannity dropped Bundy like a hot potato once his racism was made public, Bundy was only one of many white bigots and anti-black African Americans Hannity seems to find himself drawn to.
Last night, Hannity interviewed Ferguson police chief Thomas Jackson. Hannity played a brief clip of a friend of Michael Brown’s describing what he saw the night Brown was shot by the Ferguson police. That was “balanced” by approximately five minutes of the police chief.
Of course, Jackson could not comment on what happened or how a Ferguson police officer came to shoot and kill an unarmed teenager. But it wasn’t for lack of a Hannity effort to acquit the officer and demonize the black protesters.
HANNITY: I understand that the police officer, there’s been a lot of death threats against him. A lot of volatility: you’ve got the New Black Panther Party, Louis Farrakhan has spoken out, the Rev. Al Sharpton is there. You’ve had the chanting. You have a sign up there, the only good cop is a dead cop. There’s been rioting and looting etc. going on that has prevented you from releasing the name of the officer. Some have questioned the wisdom of that. The public’s right to know vs. the safety of the officer. You’re balancing that?
Yes, that’s exactly what Jackson said he is trying to do.
HANNITY: Based on your preliminary investigation and you speaking with other officers that were on the scene as I understand it… are you convinced that the officer involved in this shooting was within department guidelines in protecting himself?
Hannity almost certainly knew that Jackson would decline to answer. One has to conclude he was more interested in making the suggestion.
Same as with this “question”:
HANNITY: But you are certain that an altercation occurred and a shot was fired within the car, meaning Mr. Brown was in the car at some point. …In other words, he wasn’t handcuffed in the car, he went in the car of his own volition. …Do you believe that there was a struggle for that gun?
Media Matters noted that Martha MacCallum raised the specter of the New Black Panther Party on The Kelly File, in the previous hour.
Watch the bias below.
Sharpton in the White House? Now that would truly have been a maddening horror, as improbable as it is (I’d sooner vote for a crazy Tea Party candidate if that were the only choice).
Anyway, based on what you’re saying now — and your comment the other day in which you told me, “I’m definitely not a big Sharpton fan, though I don’t hate him” — I’ve decided to make no further comments on Sharpton in the future. You don’t “hate” him, but I suspect that to some of the other Newshounds, as well as a few regular commenters here, he is “Saint Sharpton.”
Either they’re too young to remember his history, or simply don’t want to do the research, or they’re just too much a part of the far-left playbook which sees The “Rev. Al” as some kind of African American Savior.
I’m out on a limb here, all by myself. There’s no point in that. It sounds like I’m crying “wolf!” The police in America are definitely out of control, probably from a number of reasons including the fact that some of them (certainly not a majority) are definitely racist.
Tragically, I think there will be more needless deaths of young black men. And Sharpton will inject himself into every one of these incidents. And every time, the cruds on FNC will complain. And someone here will come to Sharpton’s defense. Round and round….
And yes, you’re right; Sharpton is a local issue for me. I live in a part of the UWS — while not near or a part of Harlem in any way — has long been controlled by the Harlem Democratic machine (which brought us, among other classic hacks, David Dinkins).
Back in 2008 (the last time I actually voted, BTW) there was not a single vote cast for Obama in many, many election districts, mine included. Many of those other districts were 100% black. Why? Because corrupt Charles Rangel had decided that Hillary would be the nominee.
Rangel, though recently reelected, is meaningless now. Sharpton has total control of this machine. And as I’ve pointed out, he has his paws on many strings down to City Hall.
Sharpton will be back in NYC next Saturday, if not sooner. He’s still got that big protest planned for Staten Island. Intelligent people here are concerned that if he keeps pushing too hard, he’ll adversely affect the prosecution of the cop who killed Eric Garner.
There is not much I can do about any of this. And you’re right Ellen, no one here wants to hear about this stuff or cares very much.
If Bundy and his “supporters” were black, Hannocchio would be interviewing BLM officials on his little show.
Hannocchio is a hate baiter. He’s been doing these types of “interviews” every since he began radio in Santa Barbara. He earns his living off of hate. Says a lot about his upbringing on Long Island. Can’t decide if he he gets it from his dad, or mom. Probably both.
I remember sitting on the floor and hitting it in laughter when I watched.
Many people who know the truth about racist and anti-Semitic Sharpton recognize that his so-predictable showing up at every single one of these tragic black victim incidents is indeed a horror. Especially since the “Rev.” Al’s real purpose is to increase his power and seize more control of NYC (read the details in a few of my other comments over the last two days, if you’re interested [but I won’t hold my breath]).
Anyway, FYI, I heard (on the radio) early Thurs. an audio clip of Sharpton leading a crowd in an angry “No justice, no peace!”
But I really could not believe he went to the, what, 3-member New Black Panther Party. Particularly since Hannity gave these nuts endless amounts of air time some years ago, without which nobody would ever even have heard of them.
