Fox’s Geraldo Rivera has endorsed Condoleeza Rice for office, though he didn’t say which office. He just thinks she’s such a refreshing change from “the thug ethic” pervadding the rest of black America.
Friday’s Fox & Friends echoed The Five show from the day before by “celebrating” the increase of diversity in the Republican House and Senate by making racial attacks on Democrats. They even played the same clip of Rice denouncing Democrats for playing the race card.
But on this show, Rivera was bowled over by Rice's breath of black fresh air. He hijacked the conversation to dwell on what a wonderful departure she is from so much of the rest of “minority culture.”
After the clip of Rice played, Rivera gushed, “Wouldn’t you love to have her run for office?”
Co-host Peter Johnson, Jr. agreed: “She’d be tremendous.”
”She would be such a brilliant national office holder,” Rivera continued.
“She’d be great,” Johnson agreed again.
Rivera added, “She’d be terrific, and she’s so balanced and such a great role model. That’s what you want. There’s too much in the minority culture, the embrace of the thug ethic. Your no belt, so your pants are down around your butt. Or remember how much trouble I got in about the hoodies? But the point is, if you want to embrace that failure, you will be a failure and your children will be a failure. Rather, embrace the American dream.”
As if President Obama, Michelle Obama, Eric Holder, Susan Rice and Valerie Jarrett haven’t, eh?
Meanwhile, everyone on the set seemed to have forgotten Condoleezza Rice’s record of lying about Iraq or missing the threats from Al Qaeda prior to 9/11.
