@doors: You’re right. Hell, I used to date a big, burly but incredibly agile man who was putting himself through university as a pro wrestler. He’d practise his rib-crushing jumps and other manoeuvres on me without ever giving me so much as a bruise or scratch. As it turned out, wrestling was safer than walking out my back door (broke his leg). He abandoned the ring after graduating in classical Latin studies (I kid you not). I’m confident he made a truly fine teacher for some lucky kids.

Doors, that’s what I’m thinking. Romney’s big with the people who take pro wrestling seriously and watch NASCAR religiously, and Hogan knows that.
He also knows that hyper-partisan people are guarenteed sales. I can name celebrities that would be down to whatever list “OMG, why’d I ever like them?!” falls under if they didn’t exploit it. I won’t name names here, but it’s quite a list.
Hogan’s hoping it will work for him next- pure and simple. If it doesn’t, his views will change to fit his new strategy.

Makes perfect sense to me. Anyone who would support Romney would be gullible enough to believe that pro wrestling is for real.

Shucks, if I were an aging wrestler looking for an alternative livelihood, I’d say anything in exchange for a chance to plug my spanking new shop. Silly of FoxNation to take this conversion so seriously.
