Earlier this week, newly-minted Fox pundit Erick Erickson offered a jaw-dropping Tweet of support for a Dollar General employee who was charged with aggravated assault for hitting a child with her belt at least 25 times after the boy threw a cookie at her.
"I think we should give the employee a medal, not send her to jail,” Erickson tweeted.
As our Margarita noted, with the hiring of Erickson, it doesn’t look like Fox is looking to change its modus operandi in the wake of its sinking ratings.

Close enough, Bemused- There’s so many types of automatic weapon that a streetwise weapons expert is worth 50 times his weight in gold investigating illegal vendors.
The AR series just come up the most because they’re the popular kids at the moment.

25 lashes with a belt? Sheesh. Good thing that woman didn’t have a gun ready to hand.
Pretty convincing evidence that damage CAN INDEED be limited by reduced by keeping guns safer.
FWIW, I think personal possession of guns is more like cave-man behaviour than anything else. … and it takes a lot more men with clubs to do the damage of an AR-15 or however the damned things are called.

I don’t think Erickson would have this same reaction if the cookie thrower was a grown man. Ya know. Then he might actually stop and wonder what the woman might have said or done just prior to the cookie throwing. I’m guessing she was not saying nice things.
It’s one thing to overreact in the heat of the moment, quite another to applaud such abusive, outrageous and excessive behavior. Ericsson must be even more disturbed than this crazy woman. I hope one day they both get some serious long-term anger management counseling.

Well, the name of the suspect (she is still only a suspect until found guilty by a court of law) is Emilia Graciela Bell. Maybe with such a Hispanic name, Foxnews is implementing the new “Hispanic-friendly” side of the republican party (and thus of it’s mouth piece Foxnews).

I have a lot of people in my life who were abused as children. I’m gonna show them this article and see how much they appreciate Erikson’s comments.

Well, the old breed of nuts was not getting the job done (getting the ratings) so they bring out of fresh batch of even bigger crazies who make even dumber comments.
