Like the eponymous doctor in Mary Shelly’s famous novel, Fox and Friends has created a monster in Brad “Franken” Stine. Will Fox “News” condemn or condone its latest monstrosity? Among the more monstrous remarks Stine made today were “If Santorum doesn’t want to question his [President Obama’s] Christianity, I will!” and “Listen: If Santorum can be slammed for living like a Christian, then why can’t Obama be slammed for faking it?” Then he bet President Obama one-thousand dollars that he wouldn’t come on tee vee like all the other good little Christians and admit that Jesus is the only route to heaven. There is no way Stine can now come back and claim he was just joking after sending the following tweet:
It’s bad enough that Stine actually thinks that what he said was funny and said “in a funny way.” However, in that short tweet he not only says President Obama is faking his religion, but that Jews, Muslims, Atheists and anyone else who doesn’t believe in Jesus are condemned to an eternity in Hell.
Like the Shelly novel, it’s now time for the villagers to pick up the pitchforks and demand Fox “News” no longer use Brad Stine, who hides behind the rubric of “Conservative Christian Comedian.” If you feel as I do that Brad Stine was over the line for what should pass for political criticism and public discourse in ‘Merka, join me in demanding that Fox News stop using Stine as a pundit on the air. Who can forget St. Carrie Prejean and Widestance?
We wouldn’t pay a cent to see this so-called “funny man.” We rather donate the money to a charitable cause.
NOTE TO STINE
The jokes on you.
