The O’Reilly Factor sent producer Jesse Watters to one of the most conservative places in the country and then held up a suggestive photo of Caitlyn Jenner for the Amish to ogle.
If you have any doubt why a completely non-representative place like Lancaster County, Pennsylvania was chosen for this “survey,” host Bill O’Reilly, himself, provided the answer in his introduction.
“We sent Jesse Watters to Amish country,” O’Reilly announced, a “very traditional place full of tourists from all over the country to gauge public opinion.”
In case that wasn’t enough of a clue of malicious intent, Watters repeatedly sneered, “This is actually Bruce Jenner” and “That’s a man!” after showing people the alluring photo of Jenner on the cover of Vanity Fair.
At another point, Watters asked his subjects to comment on Jenner's transition. Watters introduced the subject with comments such as, “Bruce, born with male parts but says he feels like a woman inside.”
As usual, the Watters World segment was highly edited so we never got a sense of how many people Watters interviewed, how he chose them or which interviews got left on the cutting room floor.
If you’re looking for a way to whip up a little hate for Jenner without having the words come out of your own mouth, this Watters World segment was a handy way to do that.
Watch it below, from the June 8 The O’Reilly Factor and judge for yourself.

Gutfeld: “This thing that’s from America Rising was out of context, and when companies do stuff like that, we no longer trust you.”
So, we should expect him to denounce James O’Keefe any day now, right? (And, to a lesser extent, Jesse Watters?)
Yeah. I expect there’ll be two feet of snow in Miami on the Fourth of July before Gutfeld’s brief foray into honesty will result in any other sense of outrage at deceptive videos by right-wing groups or individuals.

So, can we expect another shock from Gutfeld or will he just let this deceptive video stand (since it came from in-house)?
Now that that’s out of the way… This is slightly off-topic, but People are asking why Jenner sticking with the Republicans isn’t slowing people like O’Reilly down. The short answer is that he’s worth more to them as a punching bag. They’re been running him down at every possible opportunity since Jenner’s sexuality became a topic in 2009. That’s six years of everything short of calling him Elemental’s word on the air.
Wait, did anyone on the network ever resort to calling Jenner that word? I know Coulter and Nugent have called other people that, though I can’t remember if it was on Fox, and if someone told me The Five did it, I’d believe that without blinking… No matter.
The point I got off-track from is that if they change track now, just the IOKIYAR meme alone will destroy them. But if they stick to their guns, the homophobes get to stay happy, and they have a new token- “See, it isn’t always IOKIYAR, we didn’t flip for Caitlyn Jenner, just like we’re still sticking by Ben Carson!”.
As much as I want to commend the hosts who claim to be sticking by Jenner for the right reasons, I can’t help but feel like that’s a smokescreen- Or that the ones sticking to their guns are following a script, and the next act begins if Caitlyn is serious enough about staying GOP to endorse a GOP 2016 candidate.
PS- Guess the plot of the next act.
