Brinker needs to stop listening to the crap emanating from Fux Noise, and start listening more to the people who donate to Komen.

It’s pretty obvious. They took a money hit bad by pulling with the AT. Conservatives are ALL about the money,and Brinker is no different.

They aren’t going to do much more than try and spin out of as much pressure as they can,save what they can,and keep the spice flowing.

I say screw Komen. If they want to go this route,there are plenty of charities for me to donate to that support women’s issues without wearing a brownshirt or packing a GOP sign. I’ll deal with those,and Planned Parenthood directly.

She was caught changing her story when she was interviewed by Andrea Mitchell, Visitor. MItchell found Karen Handel declaring her stance and confronted Nancy Hinker with it. Hinker changed her story right there, and MItchell just looked at her like “You really think I’m that stupid?”

Was Komen’s Nancy Brinker Lying Yesterday Or Is She Lying Today?

Following a new statement Komen for the Cure released making many observers believe the breast cancer charity reversed position on whether it would fund grants to Planned Parenthood, one Komen board member says it hasn’t caved.

Komen board member John Raffaelli talked with the Washington Post after the statement was released and said the new announcement doesn’t necessarily mean there is any reversal until and unless Planned Parenthood receives additional funding beyond what was already planned before Komen’s December decision.

Time Magazine’s website has a very good Op-Ed on the subject by magzine editor Ruth Davis Konigsberg. Very good write-up of the major timeline events, and her own emotions came through without biasing the piece in a way that’s definitely worth sharing. It’s my fav piece about it so far.

BTW, the SGKF screwed the pooch when they caved to the American Taliban and pulled funding from PP. It upset all the people who care about women’s health and those who are pro-choice. They permanently lost a lot of long-time supporters. Now all the American Taliban anti-choice assholes are upset because the SGKF reversed their decision. They’ll now be smeared on FokkksGOPTV and necon AM hate radio. Their stupid decision will probably be their downfall.

Nancy Brinker, anti-choice asshole, had a bragging attitude yesterday. She was proud of her decision and even lied, claiming that SGKF had not suffered in the least…that the responses had been favorable. Today SGKF all of a sudden apologizes. It should make people wonder why. And your observation is spot on.

I’m not buying it and I hope no one else is either. I will still not volunteer or contribute to SGKF until the anti-choice asshole is out of there, and SGKF stops allowing the American Taliban to dictate who they’ll help. Planned Parenthood will still get my direct donations instead.

We need to be careful about this. Komen has only stated that it will continue this year’s funding, which was ALWAYS their intent, and to make PP eligible for future funding. They have not stated that they will continue funding after the current year.
To me, this is just a ‘clever’ attempt to divert some of the pressure they’re experiencing.
This is NOT a victory…..yet.
