Stephen Colbert hilariously skewered Fox News' coverage of the attacks on the consulate in Benghazi, Libya. Bret Baier and Peter Johnson, Jr., whose over-the-top comments I posted about on Crooks and Liars, came in for special, well-deserved mockery.
Hilarious and with serious truths. From last night's Colbert Nation.

I’m wondering when – if ever Colbert will get around to addressing this Benghazi-Gate tragedy in any meaningful way. Four Americans were deserted and abandoned by the president of the US. Does that mean anything to the left?
That’s all I have to say, so feel free to carry on with carrying on, while the rest of us mourn.

The infidious trio on today’s F&F went on and on about the Benghazi attack, essentially querying why boots were not on the ground as from the day before. Gretchen has at least started looking at the timelinesbut nobody seems as yet to have realised is that the attack happened in the middle of the night and that there was/is no public lighting in that area. A rescue squad sent out with no more information than an attack is underway would not have known where to go or who to kill. More likely, they would have wound up dead as well.
Talk is cheap for people sitting in front of a camera. Thank heavens, the top brass were more intelligent and preoccupied for the lives of their men and women.
