Newsweek columnist Kurt Eichenwald has some choice words for Sean Hannity for mischaracterizing and fear mongering about epilepsy.
Eichenwald is an epilepsy sufferer himself. He has not only taken exception to Hannity’s baseless and dishonest attempt to smear Hillary Clinton as having suffered seizures, when she clearly did not, Eichenwald suggests that even if she had, that would be no reason to disqualify her for the presidency.
Eichenwald clearly knows something about Hannity. In his Newsweek column, Eichenwald gives Hannity just the kind of respect he deserves, which is to say none:
A man who purports to be a dutiful Catholic, Hannity has made a career out of violating the ninth commandment (or eighth in his faith) against lying about others. If Hannity stopped vomiting up falsehoods, his program would be nothing but a test pattern.

I know this response to Sean Hannity is a little raw, but as someone with epilepsy, I hope my editors will let this slip through: Fuck you, Sean. Your willingness to deceive your viewers—to degrade those of us with epilepsy, to suggest something is a seizure when it looks nothing like one, to leave people dumber about this condition—is unforgivable.

Some Catholics still view epilepsy as religious punishment, which is why for centuries those with seizures have not been allowed to become priests. Is Sean Hannity now saying we should be blocked from holding public office as well?
Eichenwald concluded by demanding Hannity do penance with a donation to the Epilepsy Foundation. And, since he suspected that Hannity won’t, Eichenwald asked others to “let him learn of your outrage by making a contribution. And make sure to call it just that: A contribution in honor of those harmed by Sean Hannity”

I’ve made a donation.
Where’s yours, Sean? Coming when you undergo waterboarding for charity, as you promised more than seven years ago?

“I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take this any more!” Paddy Chayefsky (the writer):
“Television is democracy at its ugliest – give the people what they want. My rage isn’t against television; it’s against the dehumanization of people. People say to me, ‘Jesus, you moved into some pretty surreal stuff’, and I say ‘No, I still write realistic stuff. It’s the world that’s turned into a satire.’”
Trump surrogate Amy needs to stick with the comfortable womb of Fox News because she’s in full panic mode here completely lost in her own spin and getting expertly played by Eichenwald.
I thought typically presidential candidates do complete physicals then release the results. I’ll forgo conspiracy theories for now and accept the letters Hillary and Donald have produced.
I’m more interested in Trump – who has a history of paying little to no taxes and has fudged his wealth in the past including lying on loan applications – releasing his tax returns. The Clintons did even though they aren’t pretty and have opened up more attacks over their incomes from speeches.
