Fox Reader Poll May Confirm The Right's 'Woman Problem'

75% of Fox respondents think lifting the ban on women serving in the military is "inappropriate." It is no wonder that the right has a problem with women. This comes after, in the past year, some on the right saying things like: women in the military would cause men to become too chivalrous and women deserve to get raped in the military.

Of course, this is not a scientific poll. But the overwhelming results do suggest a certain mindset among FoxNews.com readers.

Sorry, have to disagree here. Yes I served in the Army during Desert Storm/Shield. I have no problem with women in the front area as Operators ie. pilots, drivers etc…. it is a diferent thing to be humping gear from a to be and then engaging in a fire fight. The only women I’ve seen pushing this idea were pilots , sorry but it’s a different animal. Very few women will cut it as an 11 Bang bang and they know it. They havn’t had equal standards in years ie… on a PT test for the 22-26yr group a femal needs only do 46 Pushups to score 100% a male must do 75! Why the difference? C’mon I’m all for equality but use common sense.

I’d be interested in a secondary poll question being offered. The first part being, “Did you serve/Are you in the military?” and the second part being, “If yes, did you serve in combat?”

For some reason, I think the yes/no ratio for the “Did you serve” question would be pretty close to the “Do you agree with the decision” poll question. Somehow I don’t see many of the FoxNoise.com “readers” having been in the real military. After all, so many of their “heroes” haven’t served a day on the frontlines.
