Have you lectured the noble Muslims who let 15 school girls burn to death rather than have them escape while not “properly” covered ? Was this another example of having them “keep in touch with their Muslim identity and cultural heritage”?

Have you lectured the brave Muslims who poisoned 150 school girls for getting an education? Just can’t scare off those uppity females, can they?

“The veil is a sign of liberation”? What planet are you from? Have you told that to the millions of abused women treated as mere possessions in dar Islam?

Multiculturalism is not about integration but about cultural plurality. It is not about separation but about respect and the deepening awareness of Unity in Diversity. Each culture will maintain its own intrinsic value and at the same time would be expected to contribute to the benefit of the whole society. Multiculturalism can accommodate diversity of all kinds – cultural, philosophical and religious – so that we can create a world without conflict and strife. Britain can assume the role of accommodation and concern for all peoples, for our planet and indeed for our survival. We live in a rapidly changing world. If you attack the burqa, you attack the right of women to choose their own clothing. Respect the right of women how to dress.I respect women’s rights. What I am today and what I’m wearing represents the highest level of thought and civilization that man has achieved, and is not regressive. It’s the removal of clothes again that is a regression back to the ancient times. In very cold winter people walk about with scarves tightly wrapped around their face. In those cases no security issue arises, but the wearing of burqa raises security concern. Burqa is worn as a matter of choice. Nowadays young women choose to wear full veil seeing it as a powerful statement of identity, The parliaments of various European countries are voting to legislate the banning of the veils, In Switzerland a ban on minarets was imposed. The campaign against Islamic symbols is on the rise because of a sense of insecurity in some Europeans. A ban on the burqa is bound to widen the differences rather than bridging them. It will just encourage discrimination against Muslims in European society.

A man is a product of his culture, language and faith. State funded Muslim schools with bilingual Muslim teachers would help bilingual Muslim children to develop their cultural, linguistic and spiritual identies before they are exposed to other cultures and faiths. A bilingual Muslim child must learn and be well versed in standard English to follow the National Curriculum and go for higher studies and research to serve humanity. At the same time he/she must learn and be well versed in Arabic to recite and understand the Holy Quran. On top of that he/she must learn Urdu and other community languages to keep in touch with his/her cultural heritage and enjoy the beauty of his/her literature and poetry. Without Muslim schools, Muslim children are not going to develop their Islamic identity, crucial fo their mental, social, emotional and personality development. We have already lost four generations and fifth one is in the process of losing its cultural, linguistic and spiritual Identities.

Children that can speak more than one languages do better overall in learning and it will help them excel in a job when they are older. Only an idiot would think that being bi/trilingual is a bad thing. I think its great to be surrounded by foreign languages. There are plenty of benefits to learning them, it increases memory and other brain functions, looks great on a job résumé, and most importantly allows you to connect with a different culture and make new friends. Now is the time to teach them all the different languages you want to because they will just soak up the information. As we get older it becomes harder and harder to retrain our brains to learn a new language.

Bilingual Muslims children have a right, as much as any other faith group, to be taught their culture, languages and faith alongside a mainstream curriculum. More faith schools will be opened under sweeping reforms of the education system in England. There is a dire need for the growth of state funded Muslim schools to meet the growing needs and demands of the Muslim parents and children. Now the time has come that parents and community should take over the running of their local schools. Parent-run schools will give the diversity, the choice and the competition that the wealthy have in the private sector. Parents can perform a better job than the Local Authority because parents have a genuine vested interest. The Local Authority simply cannot be trusted. There are hundreds of state primary and secondary schools where Muslim pupils are in majority. In my opinion all such schools may be opted out to become Muslim Academies. This mean the Muslim children will get a decent education. Muslim schools turned out balanced citizens, more tolerant of others and less likely to succumb to criminality or extremism. Muslim schools give young people confidence in who they are and an understanding of Islam’s teaching of tolerance and respect which prepares them for a positive and fulfilling role in society. Muslim schools are attractive to Muslim parents because they have better discipline and teaching Islamic values. Children like discipline, structure and boundaries. Bilingual Muslim children need Bilingual Muslim teachers as role models during their developmental periods, who understand their needs and demands.

None of the British Muslims convicted following the riots in Bradford and Oldham in 2001 or any of those linked to the London bombings had been to Islamic schools. An American Think Tank studied the educational back ground of 300 Jihadists; none of them were educated in Pakistani Madrasas. They were all Western educated by non-Muslim teachers. Bilingual Muslim children need bilingual Muslim teachers as role models. A Cambridge University study found that single-sex classes could make a big difference for boys. They perform better in single-sex classes. The research is promising because male students in the study saw noticeable gains in the grades. The study confirms the Islamic notion that academic achievement is better in single-sex classes.

Actually I don’t generalize much, Mark. I try to write about specifics. I also don’t smear people I don’t know by labeling them “teabaggers”.

But when stating facts, however embarrassing and hard to admit they may be, is ridiculed by self-imposed moral watchdogs like yourself, our country is in bad shape.

When you find Amish schools starting to train kamikaze pilots, when Methodists publish manuals on amputation punishment, when Lutheran hit squads track down and execute apostates, when Catholic canonic law begins to preach it is the Word of God that a woman cannot prove rape unless there are four MALE eyewitnesses…. and when you can point to nearly 20,000 deadly terrorist attacks committed by non Muslims after 9/11 – then we can talk.

Until then all you are doing is trying to non-judgementalize and multi-culturalize these unpleasant facts away.

Innovation? Really? Does he mean not treating male and female equally? Forbidding women to take classes together with men? Is this the big breakthrough American education has been waiting for?

Critical thinking? Hmnn… let’s see. When was the last time you saw any practicing Muslim question any verse of the “perfect” Quran? The last time any Muslim organization worked to stop beheadings, stonings, misogyny, amputations, death to apostates etc etc etc. Is it any wonder the world of Islam is in such a backward, pathetic shape because of their unquestioning allegiance to this cult?

Oh, let’s not forget all the incredible contributions to music, dance, painting, sculpture that Islam is noted for… NOT.

Statistics show in the ENTIRE history of Islam of over 1400 years, less foreign books were translated than in a single year in Spain. Will this help our students expand their minds?

There are two parts to madrassa education. The first part consists of memorizing the entire Quran in the original Old Arabic. But, on second thought maybe there is one benefit for us here….

If all our students were forced to memorize the entire Declaration of Independence and Constitution, they would be quick to point out the absurdity of the monkey-memorization houses throughout the Islamic world.
