Listening to this debate, in which Michelle Malkin and Sean Hannity decry incivility from the left while either justifying or shrugging off as humor or part of the First Amendment the incivility from the right, is enough to make me cry for my country.
There was one unintentionally funny moment from Hannity but it was funny in the same sad way as the rest of the discussion: Hannity, responding to liberal Sally Kohn's example of the right calling President Obama a “socialist” as part of their inflammatory rhetoric, said: "He is a socialist but that shouldn’t be viewed as a pejorative."
All I can say is, I hope Kohn and other lefties keep it up. It’s long overdue for hatriots like Malkin and Hannity to be called on their rhetoric and good on Kohn for doing it. Malkin can squeal and sneer and scoff but if the pressure keeps up, sooner or later, she’s going to have to face herself.
