Laura Ingraham Dishonestly Defends O’Reilly Calling Colmes A ‘Liar’

Posted by Ellen · March 10, 2013 11:05 AM · 18 reactions

Early last week, Bill O’Reilly made a shocking attack on Alan Colmes over the sequester and called him a "liar" for correctly saying that President Obama has offered to make spending cuts. O’Reilly was so tyrannical and bullying that even John Stossel later told him he had been  “obnoxious” and “out of line.” Kirsten Powers told O’Reilly, “You need to admit you’re wrong.” But Laura Ingraham, subbing for O’Reilly on Friday night (3/8/13), used the “Tip of the Day” segment to falsely argue that O’Reilly was correct. Even worse, she indirectly scolded Colmes by lecturing to her viewers, “When you prepare for a debate, have the facts on your side.” FoxNews.com echoed the message by calling the brief segment, Have the facts on your side when preparing for a debate. In reality, it's O'Reilly and Ingraham who don't have the facts on their side.

Bill O'Reilly Cancels Crusade Against Gov. Cuomo?

Posted by Priscilla · March 09, 2013 6:06 PM · 2 reactions

As Bill O'Reilly considers himself to be the Pope of cable news, he, like medieval popes, feels it's his sacred duty to organize crusades (or are they jihads?) against those who don't agree with his particular world view (Despite his "Tip" about not forcing your views on others!) And when he speaks, his "folks," in heeding his call to arms, promptly harass and threaten those whom O'Reilly deems as infidels such as two state governors (Washington and RI) who didn't comply with O'Reilly's true meaning of Christmas and whose offices were inundated with calls and e-mails from O'Reilly's culture warriors. Starting in January, Bill took up the cross against NY Governor Andrew Cuomo because of his proposed legislation to strengthen and expand abortion rights and his failure to promote Bill's ongoing causus belli, Jessica's Law. In order to make sure that his crusaders made life miserable for Cuomo's staff, O'Reilly's home page had, among other things, a big, fat banner which linked to Cuomo's office phone and e-mail. Now it's gone. Cuomo hasn't backed down, so there's no victory. Whassup?!

Bolling Calls His Guest, 'Dr. McHottie'

Posted by Brian · March 09, 2013 3:34 PM · 10 reactions

On Cashin' In today, host Eric Bolling turned to Dr. Caroline Heldman for comments on the subject of wasteful spending at federal agencies. But he immediately smeared his guest - who also happened to be the only liberal on the panel - by referring to her as "Dr. McHottie."

Bolling And Hannity Sequester Stunt: Offering Money For White House Tours

Posted by Ellen · March 09, 2013 11:23 AM · 13 reactions

Leave it to Eric Bolling and Sean Hannity to use the misfortunes of others for political grandstanding and posturing. The two bigots don't seem to care much how the budget cuts may affect hungry families or Headstart but they developed a sudden, rousing feeling of patriotic fervor at the announcement the White House would stop allowing tours as the result of the sequester. Bolling announced on The Five this week that he'll donate $74,000 to keep the tours going. Hannity, not to be upstaged by political theatrics that might harm the president, tweeted that he'll pick up the tab for a week, too.

O’Reilly Thinks He Deserves Credit For Obama’s Dinner Meeting With Republican Senators

Posted by Ellen · March 08, 2013 9:32 PM · 14 reactions

As you probably know, President Obama hosted a dinner meeting with several Republican Senators in an effort to get beyond the sequester stalemate. One of those Senators, Pat Toomey, visited The O’Reilly Factor last night. During the discussion, O’Reilly added this get-together to his growing list of feats that he takes credit for. But the funny thing is, with all that power he gives himself, he refuses to take any responsibility for the death of Dr. George Tiller, whom O’Reilly savagely vilified night after night.

Fox News Wants You To Think A Killer Is On The Way To Your House, Thanks To Obama

Posted by Ellen · March 08, 2013 5:12 PM · 9 reactions

In case you've missed it, I've been following on Crooks and Liars how Fox & Friends has been concern trolling about the supervised release of some low-level immigrant detainees as part of the sequester cuts. Ignoring how this has been a part of Department of Homeland Security policy since at least 2002. Yesterday, Fox's former-judge Andrew Napolitano actually called for impeachment over it. All this while Fox attacks President Obama for scare mongering about the sequester effects.

'Pimp' James O'Keefe To Pay $100,000 To Smeared ACORN Employee

Posted by Ellen · March 08, 2013 2:08 PM · 17 reactions

James O'Keefe - possibly the world's worst sleazebag and former Fox News Power Player of the Week - has agreed to fork over $100,000 to a former ACORN employee wrongly recorded and then falsely portrayed by O'Keefe and his partner-in-video-crime, Hannah Giles, as an enabler of underage prostitution and human smuggling.

Jon Stewart Says Bill O'Reilly Is Papabili!

Posted by Priscilla · March 08, 2013 12:30 PM · 7 reactions

As he so often reminds us, Bill O'Reilly is a devout Catholic who is on a one man crusade (or is it jihad) against those evil secularists, dirty women, and truly satanic LGBT types who are all trying to tear down Bill's traditionalist America and his beloved church. As he so often reminds us, he is "looking out for us." But while he does command quite an audience, not everybody has access to his pontifications. He really needs to go from Fox News urbi to global orbi. So who better to don those papal Pradas and exchange his Fox crown for a papal mitre than TV's own Bill O'Reilly?! Jon Stewart certainly recognizes the papal possibilities for the very "papabili" PapaBilly O'Reilly who, as Stewart astutely notes, already thinks he's infallible! And if he's not papabili, I think it's safe to say he's papabully.

Fox Pretends Their Hero, Ben Carson, Was Bullied By The White House

Posted by Brian and Ellen · March 08, 2013 11:14 AM · 4 reactions

Fox is still promoting their new hero, Dr. Ben Carson. And what better way to do so than by turning him into a victim of President Obama? On Monday (3/4/13), Your World, whose host, Neil Cavuto, is the father of the “Cavuto Mark,” featured a discussion FoxNews.com called, “Did WH issue warning to Prayer Breakfast speaker?” Carson, you may recall, earned his heroic status by criticizing President Obama at the National Prayer Breakfast –and now Fox is promoting a presidential run for him in 2016.

Megyn Kelly Goes After Trayvon Martin’s Girlfriend

Posted by Ellen · March 07, 2013 11:08 PM · 32 reactions

Oh, look! Megyn Kelly found a new person of color to attack! This time, it’s Trayvon Martin’s girlfriend. Apparently, the girlfriend lied – not, as far as anyone knows, about what is expected to be key testimony: that shooter George Zimmerman was following Martin before shooting him but about being in the hospital on the day of his funeral.
