The last time we invaded the Middle East it was to save the world from Saddam Hussein's non-existent weapons of mass destruction. As you recall, that adventure didn't go to well. But that didn't stop Fox's Charles Payne, on today's "Outnumbered," from calling for another Middle East invasion in order to stop the persecution of Middle East Christians.
Payne began by informing us that "sub-Saharan Africa is ground zero for the war on Christianity." Harris Faulkner asked if "America is tasked with a greater responsibility" because "we are a Judeo-Christian nation" (Uh, no we're not). She cited how we have "in God we trust" on our currency which, of course proves nothing but sounds so good to Fox's Jesus loving fans.
Melissa Francis was skeptical because we have "overreached our borders." She said that as a Christian, she would like us to intervene; but "we are spread so thin." Jedidiah Bila (sporting a shapely thigh) said that "we can't fix everything." Payne asserted that this would be no big deal because we wouldn't be nation building and asserted that if we brought the troops out to stop Ebola, we've gotta find a way to help out Christians around the world." When Francis said "we have to wipe out ISIS or not," Faulkner interjected that "we are sitting in a middle ground and we need to get to either side." Tantaros provided validation with the comment that "half hearted acts of war are foolish and can get you killed."
Hey Charles, the Middle Ages called. They want their Crusades back. But seriously folks, one does hope that if Payne gets his war, all the Foxies will be the first to enlist!
But, do you think that Harris would like the US to prove its “Judeo-Christian” (a phrase which, as I explained on another thread a couple of weeks ago, is a recent development since Jews were constantly derided by many of the same “Christians” who so lovingly embrace the term now) heritage if we emblazoned a Christian version of the Shahada on Old Glory? (You know the Shahada—“There is no God but God, and Muhammad is the messenger of God.” A bit interestingly, the Shahada’s first known appearance was on coins. Just change it to “There is no God but God, and Jesus is His Son” or something like that.)
