The O’Reilly Factor’s plan to exploit the Chicago murder of Nykea Aldredge, cousin of NBA star Dwyane Wade, hit a road bump last night when a guest demanded to know exactly what Donald Trump’s strategy is to end crime “in one week,” as he has boasted about doing.

Last week on The Factor, Trump announced that he had spoken with a “top police officer” in Chicago who assured him that “within one week” crime could be stopped by “being very much tougher than they are right now.”

But according to The Washington Post, a Chicago police spokesman said no senior police officer has ever met with Trump or a member of his campaign. When asked by The Post to identify the officer, how the meeting occurred or what Trump meant by “top police officer,” the Trump campaign failed to respond.

Last night, guest host Eric Bolling was too busy rehabbing Trump’s widely-condemned and self-promoting tweet about Aldredge to think about Trump’s other Chicago faux pas. In case you missed it, Trump’s response to Aldredge’s death was:

“Dwyane Wade’s cousin was just shot and killed walking her baby in Chicago. Just what I have been saying. African-Americans will VOTE TRUMP!”

Clearly, Bolling’s plan was to validate Trump’s tweet by blaming Democrats for inner-city crime.

But guest Hermene Hartman, of N’Digo Magazine, wasn’t buying it. “We’re out of control,” she agreed, but she didn’t think a party should be blamed. “I think you have to put it on the person.”

Then Hartman challenged Trump to come forward with a plan:

HARTMAN: Donald Trump, last week said that he talked to someone in the police department in Chicago and that they could solve this problem within a week, the crime problem in Chicago, in a week. If that is true, that needs to come forth, not so much the person who said it, but what is the solution?

What America needs is a Marshall Plan for the inner city, for Black America, to solve some of these problems. We need to stop analyzing these problems, we need some solutions to these problems.

But Bolling didn’t want to talk solutions, not when he could bash Democrats!

Bolling interrupted Hartman to go to the other guest Crystal Wright, a go-to African American black-attacker. “It looks like the Democrats have run some of these cities into the ground,” Bolling said.

“The last thing black people need and America needs is another plan,” Wright said. “What black people need to do is stop voting for the Democrat party.” Then Wright moved on to discuss “black-on-black genocide.”

“Everybody hops on Donald Trump for a tweet about the reality of what’s going on in Chicago,” Wright continued.

“He said, ‘What do you have to lose?’ [by voting for him] but he didn’t say what you would gain,” Hartman interrupted.

Bolling stepped in to pitch Trump’s policies: “School choice, he’s tough on crime, he’s pro-law enforcement. Hillary Clinton, on the other hand, is against school choice. She’s in favor of keeping the status quo, protecting the teachers’ unions […] and also, she’s not tough on crime, she’s not pro-law enforcement. So, Mrs. Hartman, let me ask you, which one would be better for the African American community?”

Yeah, just asking.

Hartman was not persuaded. "What you heard is Trump say that he spoke to someone in the police department in Chicago. And that they could stop the crime within a week. Well, how would they stop it? What would they do? What’s the solution?"

Bolling reiterated his non-answer: “He said he was going to be the pro-law enforcement president. He also said he’s in favor of school choice.”

“You’re not dealing with what I’m saying,” Hartman persisted.

Obviously, nobody had an answer. So Wright went on a black-attacking/Democrat-attacking rant:

WRIGHT: The Democrats’ policies have created and they have exacerbated and perpetuated all the problems that have affected blacks over the last half century. When you talk about crime, the Democrat party wants to support welfare policies that reward black women who are having babies out of wedlock at a rate of 75%, disproportionate to our shares of population at 13%. Those are the policies that Democrats support, that don’t help black Americans. They keep black Americans trapped in poverty. And illegal immigration. Every time illegals come and flood into the country, guess who loses jobs?

This should persuade anyone that Fox only cares about crime in the inner city when it can be exploited. Just like Trump does.
