When asked why it matters whether or not President Obama uses the words “Islamic terrorism” (a Fox News obsession), Ann Coulter clearly had no idea.
Visiting The Kelly File Friday night, Coulter was there as a credible expert to answer the question, as FoxNews.com called its video, “Can we fight radical Islam while being politically correct?”
As if Coulter - who has no national security credentials and never served in the military would know about fighting anything other than the two charges of voter fraud she wriggled out of.
Sure enough, the segment was little more than (another) excuse to exploit the terror attacks in France to accuse Obama of being weak on terrorism, mostly because he calls the attacks “terrorism” and not “Islamic terrorism.” Believe it or not, this is what passes for national security analysis on Fox.
Coulter repeatedly claimed that the only reason Obama called the Charlie Hebdo attack “terrorism” at all was because the “socialist president” of France had. Rather than challenge that insinuation, Kelly ignored it. Nor did Kelly challenge Coulter when she claimed that Muslim fanatics have been “encouraged by the Obama administration.”
It’s all part of what Kelly thinks is a “straight news” show on Fox!
“He wouldn’t say it was Islamic terrorism!” Kelly said with laughable earnestness. “When he remarked on this, President Obama, the other day, he refused to call it ‘Islamic terrorism.’ Just ‘terrorism,’ he said. And then he commented more today and once again, he said nothing about Islamic radicalization and Islamic terrorism, radical Islam, nothing!”
Kelly continued her accusation: “And in fact, as the viewers know, back in 2010, his administration banned the term ‘jihad,’ banned the term ‘Islamic extremism’ from the central document outlining our national security strategy.” Kelly’s hands were waving in the air, she was so exercised. “They want to pretend that does not exist, apparently.”
“Yes, and keep bringing more and more jihadists in,” Coulter added.
Coulter also offered her prescription for France to deal with its Muslim population. “Maybe you take a little pause in Muslim immigration right now,” she advised, among other steps.
But then Kelly asked, “What difference would it make if we started calling it what it is? You know what I mean? The label: does the label matter? If President Obama said what (Egypt’s President) Sisi said, what difference would it make?”
Clearly, Coulter couldn’t think of a single difference.
COULTER: For one thing, he might not have withdrawn American funding from Sisi. There, you have the good guy coming in, taking out the Musim Brotherhood and Obama’s nose is out of joint. No, elevate the good ones.
Um, it also might make people reconsider mass immigration from the third world.
Kelly murmured, “Hmm,” as if Coulter had just said something so very thought provoking.

Can’t Blackroots Barbie find a date for mAnn on Friday nights so we don’t have to listen to this?
