Former Saturday Night Live comedian and current Wacko Tea Party member Victoria Jackson visited the O’Reilly Factor tonight(via a pre-recorded interview) where she seemed too crazy even for Bill O’Reilly. First, she argued that President Obama must be a communist because he was “left of Hillary” who, Jackson said, is a socialist. Then she argued that the country has been taken over by communism and that, as a Christian she will likely be killed or else jailed and/or persecuted. Was this part of a comedic shtick or her real feelings, couched in a sort of kooky persona? I report, you decide.
Jackson made the dubious claim that back when she was reading George Orwell’s 1984 in school, “they” said, “Our country will not be taken over by communism by force because of the Second Amendment but by the breakup of the family unit and by sex, drugs and rock and roll and morality. And I realized, in my lifetime, between the age of 12 and 50, it had happened!”
Later, after she called the Tea Party “the greatest people I’ve ever met,” she added:
I’ve been very involved and my passion is because I don’t, I’m gonna die soon because the first thing they do is they kill the Christians or persecute them or jail them and I taught them to believe in Jesus and I don’t want that to happen to me.
Joking or not, O’Reilly smacked her down by saying, “I don’t think we’re real close to that Ms. Jackson, so let me reassure you. I don’t think you’re gonna die soon. I don’t think we’re gonna be taken over by the heathen communists.” However, in a tacit acknowledgment that the whole thing was likely her attempt to resuscitate her career, he suggested she come back on the show and debate Roseanne Barr, “because she IS a communist.” He closed by saying, “Well, listen, we just hope you’re a happy person and we wish you the best in your career. If we can help you out, let us know.”
I think its just her — off her meds . . .
.
Wow. Clash of the Titans.
