Trump Advisor Gets A Friendly Fox Platform To Repeat His Call For Hillary Clinton To Be Shot

Remember Al Baldasaro? He’s the advisor to the Donald Trump campaign who called for Hillary Clinton to be shot by a firing squad. But that was no reason for Fox Business host (and blatant Trump cheerleader) Deirdre Bolton not to give Baldasaro a friendly platform where he could repeat his call for murder.

Bolton opened the interview by saying, “Al, great to have you here!” Then she chuckled as she said, “You have had an intense few weeks!”

Later, Bolton deliberately gave Baldasaro cred by saying, “Well, as a vet, we do take your perspective a little bit more seriously perhaps than just somebody who hadn’t served. But do you have second thoughts about the comments that you made?”

“No. Why would I ever have second thoughts?” Baldasaro replied. Then he reiterated why he thought Clinton committed treason. “What don’t the liberal media get when I said that?”

Well, Al, it could be that people got distracted by the whole “should be shot” thing, but maybe that’s just us.

It certainly wasn’t Bolton. She said, chummily, “Alright, it’s a fair point.”

Bolton did make a stab at fairness by adding, “But obviously there are many who would say ‘Listen, she went and she answered questions in front of Congress, and the matter is settled.’”

But that was little more than a way for Bolton to feign balance when, in reality, she had opened the door for Baldasaro to repeat his call for murder without any pesky interruption from her.

BALDASARO: She’s above the law. The matter may be a settled with the FBI and the protection from Obama, and the attorney general, but the American people are smarter than you think. I hear it all the time in my district. They said “Al, you say things that I only wish I could say.” So, I stand by what I said. I never said she should be assassinated. What I said be—she should go in front of the firing squad for treason. What that means to the slow people is that you gotta be found guilty.

And how did Bolton respond to this inexcusable talk?

By saying, “Alright.” Bolton even gave an appreciative little laugh as she said it.

Eyes On, David, anybody…

I have seen no mention of whether Rhymes-with-Dumbf has formally signed off on forgiving the Repubs’ supposed debt to him for his primary expenses. Wouldn’t be at all surprised if he treated that promise with the same contempt as the YUGE charitable donations he’s always claiming to have made.

Speaking of charity, I have seen no mention of the extraordinary section of Eric Trump’s speech where he blurted on about the importance of charitable giving and how marvellous his own foundation was, but then did not have a single word to say about his father’s connection to anyone but himself. (Goes off to find transcript- isn’t the net a fabulous resource!)

Here we go…
“There are few things that I hold closer to my heart than charity. For me, it’s the essence of who we are as human beings. It’s the barometer by which we will be measured for our time here on Earth.

“As Martin Luther King, Jr., once said, “Life’s most persistent and urgent question is what are you doing for others?” When I was 22 years old, I founded the Eric Trump Foundation, to benefit St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, an incredible, incredible organization.

“I run my foundation based on the principles my father taught me: honesty, integrity, and values. I expect other charities to be run by the same moral code, not serve as conduit for personal enrichment, not become a beacon of corruption and scandal.

“To whom much is given, much will be required. This is the very belief that compelled my father to make this great sacrifice, to run for the most powerful yet unforgiving office in the world. There is no greater calling, there is no more selfless an act.”

I vaguely remember The Ugliest American (as I like to think of him) spouting off at some stage that he actually intended to make a profit on his candidacy, but I cannot remember where or when. Just how that is supposed to work, I don’t know.

David,

I guess you heard that a large part of Trump campaign expenditures roll back into the Trump empire? So events tend to be rented at Trump properties.

He probably serves Trump steaks at his fundraising dinners washed down with Trump vodka and Trump wine. Served on tablecloths made from leftover Trump ties. 😉

Baldassaro (misspelling deliberate) blathered

“What I said be—she should go in front of the firing squad for treason. What that means to the slow people is that you gotta be found guilty.”

Maybe, dumbass, you’d like to remember that to “be found guilty,” you have to (A) be charged with a crime matching the definition of “treason” and (B) be tried in a fair and impartial trial. The problem, of course, is that there’s also a good chance of being found NOT guilty.

Now, for “treason” to be charged, here’s what the LAW says about it:

“Whoever, owing allegiance to the United States, levies war against them or adheres to their enemies, giving them aid and comfort within the United States or elsewhere, is guilty of treason and shall suffer death, or shall be imprisoned not less than five years and fined under this title but not less than $10,000; and shall be incapable of holding any office under the United States.” (That’s 18 US Code §2381.)

OR,

“Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort. No Person shall be convicted of Treason unless on the Testimony of two Witnesses to the same overt Act, or on Confession in open Court.” (That’s the US Constitution, Article III, Section 3.)

Now, “Mr” Baldassaro, would you please show how Hillary Clinton qualifies under the LEGAL definitions of “treason” to be charged with such? I can tell you this much: If Cliven Bundy wasn’t charged with treason, if the boneheads who took over the Malheur Refuge weren’t charged with treason, if Iran-Contra bad guy Ollie North wasn’t charged with treason, then why the hell would you ever think that Hillary Clinton (who’s done FAR less harm to this country than any of those I mentioned—aside from being Hillary Clinton, which, I understand, is a crime in and of itself to GOPers) would EVER be charged with treason, much less tried or found guilty?

If it were up to me, I’d have you repay the US government every last dime you earned as a Marine. You’re a DISGRACE to the Corps. I’d also see that you be denied any retirement pay and stripped of ALL the privileges you earned from being a Marine.

EOF, I have theorized that Trump is nothing more than a con man on a huuuuge scale. What with presidential campaigns costing the annual budget of a small nation, it seems ripe for a con man. To my mind the telltale sign will be if Trump spends very little money on TV ads. The most expensive component of modern campaigns. If I understand correctly, any campaign contribution is Trump’s, for him to do with as he sees fit.

And seriously, if you were running for President would you employ a jackass like Al Baldasaro?

Just wow!

When I say Archie Bunker is Trump’s base and committing a coup at the GOP I’m talking about this guy. And the millions of lemmings like him.

The fact Fox News would softball this jackass writes its own editorial. Let’s just leave it at that.

The American most likely to be assassinated over the next three months, particularly if he creeps up in the polls, has to be Donald Trump.

An enraged and deranged ex-military man… someone of a similar mind still smouldering after being ripped off some time in the last 3 or 4 decades by ‘businessman’ Trump… a Tea Potty/fundiMENTAList madman who can see a shortcut to getting Dense Pence into the White House… Crispy Creme Christie when he realises how cynically he’s been used and abused… a true blue Republican who sees his precious party destroyed by a truly horrible carpetbagger… a Muslim-American, Mexican-American, African-American or Woman-American driven to distraction by the inevitable resurgence of religious intolerance, racism, mysogyny and pure hate they thought had been slowly but surely diminishing.

Come to think about it, there are very few groups that would not be harbouring at least a few who would be keen to see The Donald deceased.

He deserves to be interrogated a few more times. I hear Trump is ok with torture.

JM, not to mention nature hates a vacuum. Would ISIS exist with Saddam and his henchmen around? Saddam did not tolerate any other power beside his own.

Quite right, David. How anyone can continue to make such a screaming fuss over 4 deaths in Benghazi when the deaths of maybe a million or more, including 5,000 Americans, in Iraq and Syria are wholly attributable to the lies, insanity and conniving of Shrub the Puppet and his despicable PNAC ‘handlers’.

I pray that no one shoot anyone in his family. May he and the people at FAUX FAKE NEWS wouldn’t really care. It’s so sad!!!

I wonder how the people at FAUX FAKE NEWS would feel if some call for their family members to be killed? WOW!!!!!
David Lindsay commented 2016-07-31 16:14:58 -0400 · Flag
Why the zealotry over something as nebulous as emails? Nothing came out of the Benghazi investigation other than our people were killed by Libyan insurgents. No incompetence on our part.

Now, if Al is looking for some red meat to go after, I could interest him in an ex President, who may be slightly off his rocker, who can be charged with war crimes, lying this nation into war, treason and a host of other crimes. How about it Al?
