Sean Hannity Was Against Politicization Of National Security Before He Was For It

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on October 24, 2012 · Flag

I’m sure it’s not a big shock to our readers but it turns out that before Sean Hannity was salivating over smearing our president with Benghazi, he was oh-so-sanctimonious about the need not to politicize national security issues. That was when George W. Bush was president, of course, and when questions arose about intelligence failures over 9/11 and Iraq’s WMD’s.

Eric Boehlert nails Hannity in a Media Matters post that has a good list of his hypocrisies on the subject. Many pre-date this blog but we also noted many, many instances of Hannity whining that the left’s criticism of Bush undermined our troops and emboldened our enemies during wartime. But Hannity’s concern for our troops’ wellbeing seems to have gone up in flames along with the Benghazi compound.

Boehlert writes:

Hannity’s relentlessness for condemning the politicization of national security has been replaced by his desire to promote the politicization of national security issues. Hannity has attempted to politicize the Benghazi story and make it more damning via misinformation; to attack Obama in a purely partisan way by using the war on terror, attacks on Americans, and national security as the blunt instruments of campaign warfare.

Earlier this month while dreaming up wild Benghazi conspiracies, in which Obama knew instantly all the details of the chaotic assault half-a-world away and then hid the truth from Americans, Hannity was very specific about his big picture focus: partisan politics and what kind of toll the story was taking on Obama. “Where does this go,” he asked his guest Michelle Malkin. “How does this play politically for them?”

Funny how Hannity’s national security concerns seem to completely depend on who’s in the White House.

Of course Hannity is hypocritical about this. And we’re shocked, shocked to see that gambling is going on this establishment. (And here’s your winnings, Capt Renault!)

But this is just Hannity’s latest desperate swipe at President Obama. None of the others have worked but he’s hoping he can fan the flames of it right before the election. Good luck with that to him.

And in the meantime, Dick Morris is continuing to predict both to Hannity and to O’Reilly that somehow Romney is going to have a massive victory that includes multiple states that are locks for Obama (like Michigan) (???), and swing states that are continuing to lean strongly to Obama with less than 2 weeks to go (Ohio, Iowa, Pennsylvania). This will be a closer election due to the non-performance in the first debate, but a blowout? At this point, it’s flabbergasting where Morris is coming from. And does this mean that on November 7th, we can do what O’Reilly suggested for Morris in the light of such a spectacularly wrong prediction?

Handout Hannocchio, who made his so-called debut in that major box office flop, Atlas Shrugged II, could care less about national security. He’s out to take down Obama by any means necessary.

The Stop Hannity Express says it’s easy to mop the floor with this out-of-control, St. Pius X class clown. Simply bring up his dark past, a past he desperately tries to hide from the public. It’s so bad, the man would pass out on the floor if it became public knowledge.

Hannocchio’s dirty deeds will become public knowledge. The day it happens, he will lose his audience forever. He’s not the goody two-shoes he portrays on television.

NOTE TO HANNITY

Trump should offer $5 million dollars for information on your past. Several people from Atlanta, Huntsville and Santa Barbara would come forward in a heartbeat.
