Russell Brand’s Brilliant Analysis Of Bill O’Reilly’s Beyoncé Obsession

Brand says, “Bill, if you’re turned on by Beyoncé, just accept it. It’s normal.” Oh, and so much more.

We’ve written extensively about Bill O’Reilly’s obsession with Beyoncé and his ridiculous attempt to hold her responsible for teen pregnancies and the ills of the black community.

Brand smacked that one down with this:

If you took Beyoncé out of the world, put her in a capsule and blasted her into space, a lot of people wouldn’t think, “Aw, let’s not have sex any more, Beyoncé’s gone.”

Brand argued that young people are having sex because of poverty, lack of social infrastructure and support and income inequality. He held up a screen grab from an article by University of Colorado associate professor Lori M Hunter, called “U.S. Teen Birth Rate Correlates With State Income Inequality.”

Featured in Brand’s video are clips from O’Reilly’s discussion with Mike Huckabee in which he laments being attacked for criticizing Beyoncé by the supposed elites who don’t understand regular folks - that one percenters O’Reilly and Huckabee like to pretend they are.

That’s when Brand got right to the heart of exactly what’s wrong with O’Reilly:

I don’t look down upon Bill O’Reilly. Oh, actually, I kind of like him. I just wish that he would – the compassion that he wants for himself, the tolerance that he wants for himself and his views and his imagined constituency, why doesn’t he offer that to people that are less fortunate? Why doesn’t he turn his scrutiny and analysis to people higher up the chain, including his own boss and the corporate structure that he works for: a tax evading, tax avoiding, swindler who brings about negativity wherever he practices business, causes division and hatred around the world to push his colonizing corporate companies… promotes fracking and irresponsible practices around the world and then tells us the problem is Beyoncé.

And as if that weren’t perfect enough, Brand finished with a hypothesis that O’Reilly “feels feelings when he watches the Beyoncé video and he doesn’t like those feelings in himself.”

Bill, if you’re turned on by Beyoncé, just accept it. It’s normal and if you want to change the feeling of guilt that you associate with these sexual urges, then try perhaps to be more compassionate and campaign for News International to pay its taxes and stop being registered in all sorts of tax haven subsidiaries, stop Fox’s companies campaigning for fracking, stop the objectification and vilification of women and people of color that exists throughout that media empire. Do something you can actually affect. Or also, another option, stop wanking over Beyoncé videos.

I couldn’t have said it better myself.

Beyonce should come up with a new song called, “What I Did In the Name of Mackris!”

I’d love to see Billy try and cover that story…

Why is he showing pictures of Beyonce when he’s talking about people attacking him? She hasn’t attacked him at all.

Billy is the last person to discuss morality, given his own behavior chasing a woman who wasn’t his wife, or harassing his ex-wife and her then boyfriend.

Billy, a so-called “Catholic”, curses in front of his colleagues with language you hear in sports locker rooms.

The Second Floor has to deal with his tantrums, crying like a baby if he does not get his way.

His own colleagues don’t like him! Other conservatives don’t like him, either!

His infatuation with Beyonce is disturbing. We think he’s in love with her.

Wanking over Beyoncé videos will cost Bildo a lot less than obscene phone calls to female subordinates.

Its nice to see Junior O’Reilly being analyzed, since playing Dr Sigmund Fraud is such a big part of Junior’s shtick.
