28 News Corp. Staffers Linked To Phone Hacking
The News Corp. phone hacking scandal continues to grow. Despite the media conglomerate’s attempts to blame the scandal on a rogue reporter, new evidence revealed that 28 staffers at News Corp.’s newspaper group, News International, were named in notes from the private investigator who did the hacking. There are also almost 6,000 names of potential phone hacking victims.

UK’s Guardian: News Corp. Spied On Parliamentary Committee Investigating It
Yesterday, The Guardian’s Roy Greenslade visited Media Matters Radio and dropped a bit of a bombshell: That even after News Corporation’s News of the World was under investigation for phone hacking, “Every single member of the Parliamentary committee investigating this matter was followed by private eyes and/or members of staff of the newspaper and only after some of the staff protested that they didn’t want to do it, were they called off.” UPDATED

British MP Warns Of New Allegations Against News Corporation
British Member of Parliament Tom Watson visited the contentious News Corporation shareholders meeting yesterday and made it clear that the phone hacking scandal is far from behind the media conglomerate. At the meeting, Watson told Murdoch that the 200 police officers on the case are investigating claims that range from conspiring to pervert the course of justice, executives committing perjury, and bribery of public officials, including police officers. Watson also alleged that cases of computer hacking are soon to surface.
