Less than one week after Sean Hannity announced that Republican Party efforts to unseat Tea Party efforts meant “open warfare” to him, Sean Hannity hosted Republican National Committee chairman Reince Priebus for a friendly chat with only the mildest of pushbacks as Priebus insisted the party is united. But even Priebus gave several hints otherwise.
The purported topic of the discussion last night was another one of Hannity’s attacks on the left for their SHAMEFUL RHETORIC, as the graphic over his shoulder blared. “They’ll say, they’ll do anything to try and win,” Hannity, one of the king smearers whined. To show just what a hypocrite he is, the second video below, of an old Daily Show segment, says it best.
But in a sign of just how fractured the party actually is, Hannity even put aside his attack on Harry Belafonte who, apparently, compared the Tea Party and the Koch brothers to a modern day Ku Klux Klan. While stumping for the Democratic candidate for New York City mayor. Hannity pass up an opportunity to race bait against a liberal African American? You know something had to be up.
Priebus predictably blamed the SHAMEFUL RHETORIC all on President Obama and “the culture that the president’s cultivated.”
But Hannity brought up the rift between the mainstream party and the Tea Party. He also mentioned the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s recently-reported efforts to strong-arm the Tea Party by withholding funds to those who support Tea Party primary challengers to Republican candidates.
Priebus tried to argue that there is no rift because everybody hates the Affordable Care Act. “What we agree on is that Obamacare is an atrocity. We agree that this rollout has been a monstrosity… I think that’s what we have to focus in on as a party. And I think ultimately if you look at those issues, We are united, I really believe that.”
Citing Ted Cruz and Rand Paul helping out with RNC fundraising, Priebus insisted, “This is not a divided party. This is not the establishment vs. the Tea Party. …I just don’t see that, Sean. And I know that’s what people want to play up in the media. I think we’re united.”
But Priebus' later remarks suggested not quite so much unity:
I think that there is a little bit of blood boiling over the fact that Senate Conservatives Fund (the Tea Party group) is spending more money attacking Republicans than going after Democrats. You know, it would be nice to see some of these groups spending more money in Virginia helping out (Tea Party candidate for governor) Ken Cuccinelli.
…Different groups have different roles. And I think it’s important for people to remember to, number one, stay in their lane, and to do the best job that they can do for the organization that they represent.
Stay in their lane? Boiling blood? That doesn’t sound so united to me. But rather than challenge Priebus, Hannity moved on to suggest that the RNC should do a better job of selling its agenda.
Priebus agreed but he also said that “part of the problem” is people saying, “I’m not a Republican, I’m a this; I’m not a Republican, I’m a that.”
That doesn’t sound so united either.
Thanks to Hannocchio and Cruz Missile a Republican lost in Virginia. These two are toxic to the RNC, and Priebus is to lame to figure it out. With leadership like that the party will continue to lose.
This is a snapshot of what’s coming down the road in 2014.
Prepare that popcorn. The GOP vs. The Tea Pots catfight will make a Floyd Mayweather, Jr. bout look like a schoolyard fight.
The Stop Hannity Express reminds the masses that the RNC cost this country $24 billion dollars in lost revenue. Tell it to every person you meet, and post on social media.
Also, tell Hannocchio fans that he is afraid to debate Ed Schultz. Ask them this simple question: “How can you follow a man who tells other people to man-up, yet he is the one who won’t man-up and debate Ed Schultz. Do you agree with me that he should man-up and debate Schultz?” They will think about it for a moment and most likely agree with you. The Express is committed to asking every one of his fans that simple question as long as he’s in broadcasting. This topic is not going away.
Coming down the pipe in 2013/2014
1. Hannocchio in trouble
2. RNC schemes to ditch the Tea Pots with the help of mult-millionaires
3. Tea Pots launch all out war against Fox “News” Channel and mouthpieces
4. Priebus receives bad news
5. Ailes under pressure
6. A scandal comes across from the pond
This circus will be in town for quiet some time.
