Hannity Baselessly Suggests Federal Investigation Into Gov. Bill Richardson Was Dropped For Political Reasons
During last night’s (8/27/09) Hannity’s America segment, Sean Hannity suggested, without offering a scintilla of evidence, that the federal investigation into Gov. Bill Richardson (D-NM) was dropped because of his closeness to the Obama administration. In reality, the evidence points in the opposite direction, that the investigation was dropped because prosecutors concluded “an indictment was not warranted.” But not content to stop there, Hannity developed a sudden interest in the welfare of CIA agents and accused Attorney General Eric Holder of “targeting” the brave men and women of the CIA who risked their lives to keep this country safe.” Funny how Hannity never cared about the political targeting of CIA agent Valerie Plame by the Bush administration. Colmes Asks Rove, “What Have You Leaked?”
It's not clear to me that Alan Colmes was referring to the Valerie Plame case but I thought I detected a note of mischief in his voice tonight when, during a discussion about leaks about Obama appointments, Colmes began his portion of a discussion with Karl Rove by asking, “Karl, what have you leaked?” With video.

Mary Matalin Contradicts Her Own Story While Accusing Scott McClellan Of Lying
Mary Matalin appeared on Hannity & Colmes last night (5/28/08) for the purpose of defending the White House in the wake of the buzz about Scott McClellan’s forthcoming “kiss and tell” memoir about working for the Bush administration. Predictably, Matalin attacked McClellan and repeatedly called him a liar. But while attempting to rebut McClellan’s assertions about the Valerie Plame case, Matalin also contradicted her own previous statements. She also falsely claimed that Rove was not a leaker. With video.

What Happened to "What Happened" on FOX News?
GUEST BLOGGED BY BILL CORCORAN
FOX News has made a name for itself more for what they don't report than for what they do. Never has this been more obvious than in the past week when it was revealed former White House Press Secretary Scott McClellan has written a book, What Happened, in which McClellan reveals that he was misled by his superiors and inadvertently lied to the press about who was involved in the "outing" of CIA undercover agent, Valerie Plame. The "outing" of Plame by columnist Robert Novak, a close friend of the Bush administration, was precipitated by a New York Times op-ed piece by Plame's husband, Joe Wilson. With video.
