Bill O’Reilly blatantly preyed upon the fears of religious Americans who may oppose gay marriage in order to scare them into voting against Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential election.
O’Reilly pretended he was just reporting the facts last night in his Talking Points commentary rather than admitting he was looking out for conservative politics – similar to the way he pretended to “investigate” NYC’s homeless as a pretext to smear Mayor Bill de Blasio earlier this week.
In this most recent example of O’Reilly looking out for Republicans while putting on an act of “looking out for you,” he went the extra mile of demonizing the left as a threat to religion before honing in on Clinton.
“It is a fact of American life that the far left despises organized religion, generally speaking. They see churches, synagogues, mosques as oppressive, standing in the way of things like abortion and a libertine lifestyle.
“After the Supreme Court legalized gay marriage last week, the far left was delirious with joy but not so much because homosexuals cannot tie the knot but because the decision has anti-church ramifications.”
Having “generally speaking” set up the left as an enemy of religion, O’Reilly now spun a Hillary Clinton presidency as some kind of anti-Christian authoritarianism that will impose its evil will on the clergy - even as O’Reilly acknowledged that there is no immediate prospect of that.
“The Supreme Court as comprised now would not order clerics to marry gays. It would probably be 5-4. The four liberal justices might very well go for that. If Hillary Clinton is elected president, there may be a fifth uber liberal judge appointed but the adoption issues is certainly going to change no matter what happens.”
Then O’Reilly moved from scaring viewers about what could happen to promoting a dystopian view of what almost surely will happen.
“It’s just a matter of time before lawsuits are filed against churches and religious organizations trying to strip them of their tax exempt status if they don’t toe the line on gay marriage and other progressive causes. The churches really can’t afford those lawsuits and certainly can’t afford to lose their tax exempt status. So you will see more and more religious concerns back down.”
Never mind, as O’Reilly acknowledged, that Justice Anthony Kennedy, in his majority opinion specifically wrote in protections for those who oppose same sex marriage: “It must be emphasized that religions and those who adhere to religious doctrines may continue to advocate with utmost, sincere conviction that, by divine precepts, same-sex marriage should not be condoned. The First Amendment ensures that religious organizations and persons are given proper protection.“
No, the “anti-religious organizations” “sense weakness,” according to O’Reilly, “And believe me, they are going to move against people of faith.”
O’Reilly’s conclusion all but urged viewers to make sure they vote Republican.
“Again as the court stands now, people of faith are somewhat protected. But one more liberal judge and those protections might very well vanish.”
This from the guy who complains about other people being “smear merchants.”

“And honestly people, O’ Falafel really needs to get laid, and real soon.”
Yes indeed Bob — for starters, he should switch to Dial soap, because always remember:
DIAL SPELLED BACKWARDS MEANS HAPPINESS!

More factfromassing . . .
.
Are the believers and religious this scared and terrified over what O’Loofah tells them??? Do they really think that the “far left” wants to shut down churches and forbid them from practicing their religion. What the hell is wrong with his audience who sits at home and quakes with fear (if they are awake at the time) and actually believes the “godless left” is out to get them. It must be a terrible thing to live in such fear.
And honestly people, O’ Falafel really needs to get laid, and real soon.
