Fox Nation's Front Page News: Obama's Slip Of The Tongue

File this under the "No Obama Smear Is Too Trivial" file at Fox News. The latest political "top story" at Fox Nation is Obama's slip of the tongue when referring to his Secretary of Defense, Robert Gates, calling him "William" and "Ronald" by mistake I know it's a slow news day but still... Maybe those America lovers at Fox are using it as filler until they finalize their theories for blaming him for the North Korea nuclear test and Iran's warships going to the Gulf of Aden. Screen grab after the jump.

Fox: It's "Great" News That People Are "Finally Cutting Back" on Spending

I don't think Neil Cavuto is ignorant but he sure acted like it today (November 17, 2008) when he hosted Fox Business News talker Dave Ramsey in a segment about how great it is that people are cutting back on their spending.

Citing an October 20 USA Today/Gallup poll that showed 55% of Americans are "trimming" their spending, Cavuto introduced Ramsey with: "Well, new proof folks are cutting back to save up. A poll showing 55% of Americans are trimming their spending, no matter how much they earn. Dave Ramsey says it's about time."

Between cries of sexism from "the media," from which they exempt themselves, FOX does segment on Sarah Palin's hairstyle

While Bill O'Reilly is busy defending Sarah Palin's honor and Gretchen Carlson is complaining that she's offended on so many levels by the sexism in the media, the FOX and Friends weekend crew reduced Ms. Palin to a fashion icon, doing a segment on her hairstyle. "Can you imagine them treating a man this way???" Alisyn Camerota, who did the modeling, was apparently savvy with the hot librarian porn references, and they brought on one of their hair guys to comment.
With video.

Convention? What convention?

With the Democratic Convention in full swing, we News Hounds have been opting for C-Span over the cable stations and networks to actually see for ourselves what Democratic officials and speakers have to say. From what I've seen myself and read elsewhere, FOX is barely showing the speakers uncensored; it's all presented as seen through the eyes of their hosts and guests. If FOX is "America's Election Headquarters" and your "place for election news," then why are FOXNews.com readers so obsessed with tawdry tabloid tales?
