Hannity Makes A Big Deal Out Of Christine “Not A Witch” O’Donnell’s Endorsement Of Mitt Romney
If there’s a doubt in anyone’s mind that Fox News will cheerlead almost any Republican, no matter how foolish or inconsequential, check out tonight's Hannity segment that trumpeted Christine "I'm not a witch" O’Donnell’s endorsement for the 2012 Republican primary. The thought crossed my mind that the whole thing was a sneaky way of making Romney look bad. But even if Hannity’s praise of O'Donnell didn't seem quite sincere, he sure did a good job of looking like his good wishes for her and Romney were.

Forget the multiple accusations of sexual harassment, infidelity and other improprieties. Forget the jaw-dropping ignorance about foreign policy. Herman Cain has suffered at the hands of the “liberal media” and that means there must be lots to like as far as Fox News is concerned. I posted last week that Sean Hannity dangled broadcast opportunities for Cain during his last visit to the Hannity show. In Cain’s follow-up visit – ostensibly to analyze the weekend Republican candidates’ debate – the only real question on the table was just how bad the liberal-media moderators were. And, for viewers at home, just how much could Hannity slobber over Cain. UPDATED.

Megyn Kelly Helps Soothe Donald Trump’s Wounded Ego Over His Epic Debate Fail
The extremely thin-skinned Donald Trump visited America Live yesterday to spin his epic fail on hosting a Republican debate later this month. Predictably, he used his time to attack the majority of candidates who have said, “Thanks, but no thanks” to his offer – and to further threaten a run for office. I don’t know how many times he can make such a threat and still be treated seriously – even if you don’t count his utterly and thoroughly debunked birther baloney. But rather than question Trump’s political cred, host Megyn Kelly seemed determined to do her best to enhance it via the Fox News charade of The Importance Of Being Donald Trump.

Cavuto Gives Romney A Pass On False Claim Obama Has No Economic Plan
By Brian
Mitt Romney sat down for a lengthy interview on Your World yesterday (12/6/11) in which, among other things, he announced he’d not take part in the Donald Trump-moderated debate later this month. Cavuto, perhaps trying to make up for the contentious Bret Baier interview, never challenged Romney on any of his flip-flops. Cavuto also failed to challenge Romney when he falsely accused President Obama of having no economic plan for jobs.

Trouble In Fox Paradise? Karl Rove Trashes Newt Gingrich and Donald Trump
It's no secret that Newt Gingrich is the latest Fox "News" favorite. As Ellen made clear just the other day, Fox “News” has been playing a delicate game of “Anybody but Romney.” At the same time Fox is trying to make it seem like they are being “Fair and Balanced,” in case the candidate Ailes doesn’t favor rises to the top and the network may have to hold its metaphorical nose and support Romney: “That Fox News’ cheerleading has not necessarily been a good thing for the party. Before Newt was the Fox News golden boy, it was Chris Christie. Before Christie, it was Rick Perry and before Perry it was Donald Trump. Did I leave anyone out?” Well, there was that whole McCain/Palin fiasco after Fox tried out other candidates at first (again), but that was an earlier election cycle. Yet it burnishes the point: Fox “News” Candidate schizophrenia hasn’t been all that great for the GOP party overall, but that didn’t stop the so-called “news” network from lining up behind Newt recently. So much so that it was a salient point for Ellen to make a few days later when she reported, “Apparently, Chris Wallace did not get the Fox News memo that Newt Gingrich is the new Donald Trump Rick Perry Chris Christie.” Now you can add Karl Rove to the list of Fox "News" people who didn’t get the memo, because he attacked both Newt Gingrich and Fox “Birther” darling Donald Trump. And, Rove pulled no punches on the Curvy Couch either. Watch:
