Fox's Stuart Varney tried to blame President Obama for the May Day protests in Seattle, which have turned violent. But guest Mike Huckabee had some choice comments of his own. Neither of them seemed to think it worthwhile to actually talk to any of the protesters they were smearing.
Varney, guest hosting Your World yesterday, asked Huckabee about the protests:"Could you link this to the current administration? Which I think has an anti-capitalist bias. Is that brought out in these demonstrations?"
Huckabee did not go through the opening Varney had just tried to push him through. Instead, Huckabee said, “I just think they’re spoiled brats. They’re spoiled brats. They need a good kick in the behind. I don’t know that that would be the appropriate way, that would get one arrested …but.”
“They’d sue you,” Varney said.
Huckabee sneered, “I’m sure they would, but they would have to sue me in a capitalistic court, and they would sue me for damages, and truly they wouldn’t want any money for it because after all, that would be capitalism too wouldn’t it, Stuart?”
How does Huckabee know they’re spoiled? He should have talked protestors and learned something about them before making such assumptions. As in, "We report, you decide."
