Mercedes Schlapp's ridiculous attack on truth as liberal bias made her our Outrageous Quote of the Week winner last week.
In case you missed it, Schlapp argued - and Fox host Howard Kurtz did not challenge her - that the disproportionate number of Donald Trump falsehoods found by PolitiFact was proof of the fact checker's liberal bias. And not, you know, proof of Trump's dishonesty. Schlapp said:
“In the case of Hillary Clinton, they gave her over 29 'True' comments. How many did they give to Donald Trump, of “True” comments? Zero. So if they can’t find not one true comment that Donald Trump has made, I would call that biased. …You’ve got to balance it out. Find the 29 statements on each side.”
Schlapp won our poll with 65 of the 187 votes cast.
I'm a bit behind but I'll have a new poll up later today.
