Megyn Kelly And Mark Fuhrman Use Baltimore Riots To Smear African American Community As A Whole

Megyn Kelly trotted out racist Mark Fuhrman and pretended he was just a regular retired detective commenting on the riots in Baltimore following the death of Freddie Gray in police custody. And surprise! The two of them used the segment to smear African Americans in general.

Kelly frequently turns to Fuhrman in racially sensitive matters. She hosted him to discuss the Trayvon Martin case and repeatedly turned to him for Ferguson commentary. Not once did Kelly reveal Fuhrman’s animosity toward African Americans that came to light during the O.J. Simpson trial. Nor did she in this segment.

Yet Kelly listened unquestioningly as Fuhrman suggested there is something intrinsically wrong with African Americans. Fuhrman sounded more like a psychologist than a police commenter as he “analyzed” Baltimore’s black rioters.

FURHMAN: There’s something here that’s deeper. 99% of these people don’t know Freddie Gray and they couldn’t pick him out of a crowd of three people. They don’t know who he is. This is an opportunity to act out the disappointment of their own life, the disappointment of their lack of whatever they want, which seems to be going into a liquor store and getting alcohol, getting a new TV, getting a microwave, taking a check cashing facility where they cash their check and destroying that. Destroying a store or pharmacy. It goes on and on. There’s absolutely no reason for it.

If you’re going to use “oppression” as a word, you have to ask yourself… are we this upset about gang members and gangs on every corner and drug dealers? It doesn’t appear that the community is that upset about that.

Kelly helped amplify the point by suggesting that African American complaints are just an excuse to behave more badly than usual.

KELLY: In Ferguson, Missouri, we were told that at the heart of that problem which, obviously, Officer Wilson was exonerated in that case, but the police department was condemned widely after that DOJ report. And what we were told was that that police force was not reflective of the community and that that was a main thing that needed to be done – there were too many whites on the police force given the racial makeup of the city of Ferguson. …Well, look at the situation here. I mean, it doesn’t seem any better.

In reality, the Department of Justice report cited increased diversity as the 11th out of 13 recommendations to improve Ferguson police practices. And Kelly’s misleading summary conveniently left out the shocking racial abuses that were uncovered by the DOJ and which led to those recommendations.

The other guest, liberal African American Richard Fowler, argued pretty fiercely. At one point, he declared to Kelly and Furhman, “I really think you live in an alternate universe.”

But Fowler never called out the blatant race baiting going on right under his nose.

Watch it below, from the April 27 The Kelly File.

Sandman 2…could not agree more. I also know most news reporting agencies are controlled by government and instead of speaking truths news reporters manifest lies of those involved, skew public perception the in to cover up truth.

Turner productions is just one mogul giant controlling news media. There are few real journalists and believe it not coming against longtime reporters like Brian Wlliams and others taken hostages is proof of real media but the rest yabbering at the potem don’t even know what happen yet focus on in this case, the rioters, but not the reason.

Particulars just ask…in this case someone saw what the cops and cops forgot vehicle cams were rolling….Cameras were added to units and speaker phones provide some forme of public accountability.

I hate to say this, but, It’s my belief that when the Police say they are investigating this incident, I can only think they are waiting for and investigating whether or not any video exists of what happened to the dead individual killed while in custody. Once no video evidence is found, they will exonerate the cops involved and brush it under the rug.
This sort of criminal activity has been more exposed by the massive wave of average folks video taping police confrontations. Now we just need “good” cops to stand up and expose the “bad” cops and there enablers(other cops, top brass, district attorneys) who take cops “word-for-it” 99.9% of the time, even when it doesn’t make sense.

Thanks Ellen. It hasn’t dimmed my enthusiasm for your enterprise one little watt. Keep up the good work – each little victory, each exposure of a Fox lie is driving another nail into the putrid reputation of Ailes and his cronies.

Bad apples at the top get tried for murder too… I am abhorred by law enforcement killing citizens. The Rodney King case remains problematic when it comes to public trust so to believe officers and government are clinging to community policing efforts is proof of lies concerning training efforts to make them killers Iinstead of restoring peace as they are required to act as peacemakers not the judge.

I just spent 100k to earna mmaster’sIin criminal justice..30 years Iin legal and I am more than displeased about peers than I can breathe. The men and women practicing moral and ethical principles my prayers are with you for proection…the bad apples..indictments…

The callousness of media…mind blowing but when they or ccelebs are caught for wrongdoing they blame police…and get away with criminality. We wouldbe forgotten..

No the fight is over a man’s right to life….though I do not condone people looting and it does not mean these people are thugs as the news report..but nailing the mayors office…judicial watch…the cops are in a lie. One of their cameras shows contradictions…

At the National Academy, the fbi trains all law enforcement leaders in the nation and in many parts of the world * to kill, beat, imprison and torture the innocent suspect, while the SCOTUS authorizes the police to kill innocent suspects fleeing in their cars. So, most of the police/fbi brutality and killings of our people is the result of a macabre culture in all law enforcement as inculcated by your beloved f b i.

Hmmm…. Lot’s of talk of racism here. The Mayor is Black, the Police Commissioner is Black, the Fire Chief is Black, the Director of the Department of Transportation is Black, the President of the City Council is Black, 53% of the City Council Members are Black, 41% of the Baltimore PD is Black. Aside from a strong political desire to make this about race, how is this a race issue? Some cops (probably a mix of races) did something very wrong to a citizen resulting in his death…and this is being investigated. A bunch of idiots start rioting, and suddenly it is a race issue? Seriously?

Thanks Erich. I’ve been reading every day (almost) but could not get comments through, even trying to open new accounts etc. Not the brightest bulb in the chandelier when it comes to anything even remotely technical, I’m afraid :)

From w d’s comment:

“Yeah, there’s never any crime or looting in the white community. Unless, of course, a professional hockey team loses in the finals…”

Sad but VERY true w d. Here are the two most recent examples: June 1994 and June 2011 (the Vancouver Canucks lost in the Stanley Cup finals in each of these years). Don’t forget w d: there WAS crime and looting in a white community even when a pro hockey team WON the Stanley Cup: it happened in Montreal, PQ in June 1993 when the Montreal Canadiens won the Cup at the old Forum.

From John McKee’s comment:

“When will the US ever get its act together and catch up?”

Here’s my answer John: the ONLY way the U.S. will EVER get its act together and catch up is by Congress GROWING A SPINE AND BREAKING UP THE MAJOR BANKING AND MEDIA CONGLOMERATES, especially Herr Goebbels II’s (i.e. Rupert Murdoch’s) News Corporation — but alas, us THINKING people who post here (including me) know very well that will NEVER happen in the near future. ;^(

How do you Americans STAND having people like these in positions of prominence?? Honestly, in the civilised world, we have these people, but they are becoming social pariahs except amongst the lowest of low circles. You may see reasonably large numbers in anti-immigrant marches etc, but you do not see mainstream political parties snuggling up to such groups.

Outright racism is withering away in the face of social pressure, in much the same way as drink driving, wife beating, battering children and blowing smoke around a posh restaurant have all been stigmatised over the past couple of decades.

When will the US ever get its act together and catch up?
