CREW and Brave New Films Join in Campaign to Expose Waste at the DHS

CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington) has released a new report outlining the massive amount of wasteful spending within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) under the Bush administration. The report is titled Homeland Security for Sale - DHS: Five Years of Mismanagement and outlines the "massive failures and billions wasted at the Department of Homeland Security". You can find it at HomelandSecurityforSale.org. Filmmaker Robert Greenwald and Brave New Films, which produced the film OUTFOXED that gave rise to this blog, have created a video summation for CREW. Super Patriot Neil Cavuto Has No Problem With Abu Dhabi Rescuing Citigroup and the U.S. Stock Market

News broke this morning (November 27, 2007) that a "United Arab Emirates investment fund," the "state-run Abu Dhabi Investment Authority (ADIA)," would help bail out a premiere U.S. company, Citigroup, and "become one of Citigroup's biggest shareholders, in a 7.5-billion-dollar deal that will help shore up the ailing US bank's coffers."

One of the greatest companies, and the most lucrative stock market in the toughest, strongest country the planet has ever known (as Fox would tell it) gets bailed out by Abu Dhabi? Neil Cavuto, Fox's "business news" anchor was outraged, right?

Kinky Friedman, yes, Kinky Friedman, is a frequent guest on Fox's "premiere business news" show, Your World w/Neil Cavuto. Friedman was on yesterday (September 6, 2007) to talk about immigration and the presidential race and well, let's just say that I don't think things went according to plan.

FOX News' Hannity & Colmes Commemorates Diana, Not Katrina

Hannity & Colmes was pre-empted last night (8/31/07) in order to re-run a Thanksgiving service for Princess Diana. There was no recognition of the second anniversary of Hurricane Katrina at all this past week on Hannity & Colmes. The network Roger Ailes described by saying, "We Like America," preferred to commemorate a British princess via a rerun rather than the costliest and one of the most deadly natural disasters in United States history, according to the House of Representatives Bipartisan investigation (See page 7).
