Juan Williams Criticized For Calling Ann Romney 'A Corporate Wife'

Posted by Ellen -7859.80pc on August 29, 2012 · Flag

While others on Fox News gushed over Ann Romney's convention speech last night, Juan Williams was left cold. He said Ann Romney "looked to me like a corporate wife" and that it was "hard for me to believe" her story about struggling. "She did not convince me that, 'You know what? I understand the struggles of American women,'" he added. You could hear the shock and disbelief in the voices of the other panelists who couldn't seem to say enough good things about Romney's speech. Today, on Fox News radio, Chris Wallace criticized Williams' comment as "dumb." But I can't remember any criticism on Fox when Williams said about Michelle Obama, "She's Got The Stokely Carmichael In A Designer Dress Thing Going."

Wallace also said he couldn't understand where WIlliams got the idea she had been taken care of and coddled. Hint: Think car elevator! Think $990 blouse! Think dressage!

@Margarita: “Did they rush her [Condi Rice] into the spotlight, so they could try again with someone who’s a little less ‘wifey’?”

No — more like, try again with someone who’s a little less “WHITE-y” . . .

Partially answered my own question – Rice is supposed to talk about foreign policy and how great Romney will be at it.

The Five has just been pimping a speech by Condoleezza Rice at tonight’s RNC. I was wondering why I hadn’t heard about it before. Did they rush her into the spotlight, so they could try again with someone who’s a little less “wifey”?

The continuing canonization of Saint Ann on Fux Noise. Never mind the cult-like magic underwear and the baptizing of the dead. Focus on the miracle of how she managed four household mansions with only the help of a dozen servants. Mirabile dictu!
