When Sean Hannity heard about Jordanian pilot Muath al-Kasaesbeh being burned alive by ISIS, his first thoughts must have been, “How can I use this against President Obama?” At least, that’s the impression to be gotten from his show tonight, especially the nearly 11-minute open.
Hannity’s first question, to retired Brigadier General Anthony Tata, was a swipe at Obama - and an attempt to get Tata to bash him: “Jordan will be executing ISIS prisoners that they have in custody as revenge… while we here in America have been releasing terrorists caught on the battlefield back into the states from which they come from… many of them returning to battle. What is the difference that you see here?”
It was a blame-Obama fail. Tata said the eye-for-an eye culture “really dominates there” as does Jordan’s capital punishment. “But let’s remember what this is all about," Tata continued. "ISIS is thinking strategically and they’re trying to fracture the coalition” with the execution.
But Hannity didn't show any interest in why ISIS executed the pilot nor how Jordan's retaliation might escalate tensions in the Middle East or elsewhere. No, Hannity was too busy thinking about ratcheting new hate for our president.
Hannity turned to another guest, Council on Foreign Relations member (and war hawk) Max Boot. This time, Hannity attacked Obama for not hating Muslims enough, “The president in an interview just this past weekend said that 99.0% of Muslims are looking for the same thing that we’re looking for: order, peace and prosperity. One has to wonder, is the president paying attention to what’s happening in Afghanistan, and Pakistan and Saudi Arabia and Syria and Libya, in Somalia, Sudan for starters? Is the president disconnected from the reality of what is going on in the world?”
Boot was ready to criticize Obama, but not for lack of sufficient Islamophobia. Boot said “there’s no question” that most Muslims want “a peaceful and prosperous life.” He said the problem is that there’s a “significant minority of extremists who have other ideas.” His complaint seemed to be that Obama is not hawkish enough. Boot said, “Nice words from the White House about how this is a perversion of Islam – all of that stuff is meaningless. We have to be able to meet this threat with the appropriate response and that has not happened yet. All we really get right now are condemnations of the brutal, barbaric evil actions of ISIS.”
Hannity brought on Rob O’Neill, the Navy SEAL who claims to have killed Osama Bin Laden. This time, Hannity suggested that Obama was too Muslim-friendly because he had not displayed the dead body of Osama Bin Laden.
HANNITY: Rob, I always thought it was a mistake that we did not show the dead body of Osama Bin Laden. …The president’s rationale: he didn’t want to inflame tensions in the Muslim world. They have no problems doing it to us. …Would it have been better if we showed that body?
It was another blame-Obama fail. O’Neill said, “I still think, like I said before, we didn’t need to show the entire world the picture of his dead body.” Calling it “spiking the football,” O’Neill said, “Yes, they’re willing to do this to us but, you know, we are better than they are. “
Hannity did it again and again in this segment and throughout the entire show.
We previously noted that Bret Baier displayed a graphic image from the video of the pilot's hideous death as a way of taking a dig at Obama. But Hannity took the exploitation of this tragedy to a whole new level.
Watch it below, from the February 3 Hannity. WARNING: The starting screen of the video has a very disturbing screen grab from the ISIS video.

The Stop Hannity Express says post this link to all conservative web sites and social media pages under the title, “Fox host did not tell you this.”
If Merri Jill left his crazy azz he would probably blame President Obama.
Ever since Obama turned down Hannocchio’s request for an interview he’s been on a warpath with the president.
This aging, demanding, uppity Long Island Lolito can’t handle rejection very well. It makes him feel inferior and worthless. An issue that dates back to his youth. Maybe he wasn’t loved as a kid. Or his parents favored his sisters more than him. This cafeteria Catholic has major internal issues.
NOTE TO HANNITY
The stress you caused on your parents. They should have given you up for adoption, or shipped you to Ireland.
Yes, Brigitte Gabriel is the shrieker I was thinking of for sure. Bet she’ll be on tomorrow or the day after.
I’m also amused, btw, that Fox has moved on from its Putin infatuation, and now the great strong leader they cite all the time is Egypt’s new military dictator el Sisi, and of course they’re now having a big, though probably only temporary, flirtation with King Abdullah of Jordan.
Let us all hope that this horror with the young Jordanian really does inflame the rest of the Arab ME and gets them into the fight to crush the psychopaths.
I hope to do a post about Hannity’s interview with Richardson tomorrow.
I think the shrieker you have in mind is Brigitte Gabriel.
And the show, and Hannity, got more insane as it went on. By the time he had Bill Richardson on, he was shrieking about how Obama needed to do…. exactly what Obama is doing, recruiting Arab countries like Jordan and Qatar to actually fight ISIS while the U.S. provides support. Apparently, it’s just never enough support for Hannity.
Richardson, amusingly to me, has perfected the tactic of pretty much ignoring Hannity’s baiting and calmly droning on with reality-based analysis of all this. All in all, a much more entertaining show than he usually does, though I’m sure he and his producers didn’t think so.
