Glenn Beck Helps O'Reilly Yuk It Up Over Gore's Sale Of Current To Al Jazeera

Posted by Ellen -7842.60pc on January 11, 2013 · Flag

Apparently, Bill O’Reilly hasn’t found a new Miley Cyrus, Sandra Fluke, Dr. Tiller, Al Gore yet so he brought on hate monger extraordinaire Glenn Beck to spice up the now-familiar attacks. Gore, as you probably know by now, reportedly turned down Glenn Beck's offer to buy Gore's Current TV on ideological grounds – before making the supposedly heinous decision to sell to Al Jazeera. With a malicious grin, O’Reilly asked, “How do you process it, personally, when you’re more loathsome to Al Gore than guys who glorify Osama Bin Laden?” A hilarity of hate ensured.

“As a badge of honor. I want that on my resume,” Beck joked. “It’s a badge of honor that I am more loathsome, that I am not anywhere close to his agenda, close to his values – because Al Jazeera is closer!”

As the two skipped down the avenue of Gore bashing that we’ve heard over and over on Fox, O’Reilly dug up a bit of fresh dirt to throw. Still gleeful, O’Reilly said, “So you believe that Al Gore, in his mind, thinks that you’re more of a threat to the world than Al Jazeera?”

Beck answered, “(Gore) is more in line with Al Jazeera than he is with anything that I would preach.”

Yes, and thank goodness, but not for the reasons Beck put forth: that Beck stands for “American exceptionalism” (just pay no attention to how much he bashes our country), American common sense (said the guy who became such an embarrassment to Fox News that they got rid of him), responsibility (from the guy who called our president a racist and worse on Fox) , hard work. Hey, I live in Texas. Drill? Hey, I think he thinks I am much more dangerous than Al Jazeera. He is that insane.”

Frankly, I don’t think blubbering Beck is in any position to call anyone else insane.

Ok, got called away, but since I don’t play the game Pierre wants me to, here’s a second post with his homework:

Murdoch (not Newscorp) personally owns enough shares in Al Risala to be named a major shareholder- Yes or no?

Al Risala and Newscorp are both shareholders in Al Jazeera- Yes or no?

I don’t link up sources for trolls anymore- They don’t read them if I do, they only ask so they can try calling me a liar if I don’t. But that’s your starting point. Try doing your own homework for once, instead of seeing if you can make us do it for you.

Or admit you’re just another concern troll that can’t provide his sources, and won’t read ours because he’d rather play that game.

When they went private in 2011, all that changed on the shareholder front is that they had to sign new contracts reflecting the new terms of the privatization. A simple Google search will turn that up, and who the shareholders are.

Oh, wait- “Pierre” doesn’t care about facts. He cares about making us go fetch links he’ll never read, and pulling out the liar card when someone won’t play that game. Been a while since we had one of those, we’re long overdue.

I’m lucky to live in Europe where free speech is not (yet) an empty term or a “right” claimed only on behalf of hatred, intolerance and outright lying.

The range of possible sources is a vast one over here, and it includes Al Jazeera. I agree with the poster who compared them to the BBC. Actually, they’re better than the BBC because they really and truly do cover the whole world.

In comment to another poster, it’s true that Al Jazeera is a private company but – unless I’m sorely mistaken – isn’t FNC also a private company? Why should the one situation preclude the possibility (certainty?) that Rupert Murdoch has shares in Al Jazeera?

@mj-the same one

You forgot his many other names. Personally I like the very first one best

Vicious Killer, immediately rebaptised Vacuous Offkilter.

Apart from that, predictable hence boring.

Didn’t Glenda & his wife fail to have “our turn” in the White House? Or was that some other Moron…

Visitor, Same old story, along with the same old response from the most rightwingnuts…..ask for credible, non-biased links and the silence is defening. Laughable.

This place seems to me to be a training ground for kindergartners. None of you have anything of intelligence to offer; merely slangy juvenile offerings, slangy sentence structure, name calling, etc. I think I’ll go play with adults and let you kiddies have some fun playing with each other’s dingdongs.

Brian M. How well do you dress? Betcha Beck has socks that cost more than your greasy underwear.

Visitor 55 – Someone else in this “conservation” wrote that Rupert Murdoch was major shareholder in Al Jazerra. I can reply to more than one person in one post, huh? Or, is that disallowed?

And, why do you continue to write like a juvenile?
Pierre Paul commented 2013-01-11 19:32:33 -0500 · Flag
Visitor55 – No, O’Reilly did not say that. It was a rhetorical question. Do you understand rhetoric?

In the feeble Teabaggin’ mind(?), all of the above are terrorist organizations.

@the Mike – if anyone would recognize someone else as being a bit “faggity” it would be someone of a similar bent.

Gawd, more Gore bashing? Geez.

Btw, the below letter to Bek is a must read. Not only is it pretty damn funny but Kirell does a nice job of nailing Bek’s ass to the wall. Hopefully folks will see Bek’s manuevers to reinvent himself/his network for what it really is.

Visitor55 – you wrote "just the mere fact that Al Jazeera is an e-vile mooooooslin sounding name makes it bad. It doesn’t matter that they report unbiased objective news. They’re e-vile just by their name. "

That sounds like something a 10th grader might pen.

Tell me, Visitor 55, do you watch Al Jazerra? How often and in which language? And, fwiw, Al Jazerra is a “moooooslin” (learn to spell, ditzo) name. It’s is Arabic for “The Peninsula.” And, FYI, it is a privately held company, not owned by anyone at FOX.

George Kokoropoulos: Yeah, they know; but they’re hoping their viewers don’t. Janet Tuhey: Actually WATCH Al-Jazeera?! Are you crazy?! If Billo and the Becktard say it’s bad, that’s good enough for a wingnut.

Jan Hall – “unsuitable?” Who told you that? Find me some evidence or stop writing such stuff.

See! @visitor55 there you go again, calling people names. You have no proof of any lies and I challenge you to find and post one….just one! And, then provide the evidence that it is a lie.

@visitor55. When Becktard and Bildo launch one of their mutual hatefests, the truth takes a holiday.

Oh, but did he lie? You seem to have a problem separating personalities from facts they give.

FOX deemed Beck unsuitable for a program on their network, but appearing with POPE BILL OF ILL WILL is okay." Looney Birds Of A Feather Flock Together."

Here’s an idea of how much Glenn Beck’s opinion matters to anyone who’s even marginally sane:

Earlier this week, he tried to get some bipartisan points from the Alex Jones meltdown by calling him “A hatemongering, lunatic hack that doesn’t care about the truth- only what gets him the best ratings.” On the cam feeds, both his co-hosts, his guest, and all 15 people in the booth were visibly struggling to not make a “Pot, meet kettle” comment.

And when their callers tried to get that in, there were a few points where it was beyond obvious Stu wanted to let one slip past. I noted that they were all at points where Beck was braying about his so-called relevance.

Yet, O’Reilly has no problem pretending this clown matters. For a guy that his college transcripts say has an off the charts IQ, he sure does like to look dumb.

Wouldn’t it be refreshing (and totally amazing) if any of these brain-dead FUX-ies actually WATCHED Al Jazeera? I find it to be right up there with the BBC for their extent of coverage and lack of any biases.
