Gavin McInnes' Tasteless Jokes About The Poor Wins Our Outrageous Quote Of The Week Poll

Posted by Ellen -7849.80pc on March 08, 2014 · Flag

Gavin McInnes' "jokes" about people on food stamps were not just offensive, they won him our Outrageous Quote of the Week award. Frankly, I'm surprised, given the level of the competition. But McInnes won handily, beating out his closest competition by 8%, or more than 20 votes.

To refresh your recollection, McInnes said about people on food stamps:

“Let’s demonize them! Have you seen the poor? They’re gigantic. They’re overfed. There’s enough food and enough clothes in America. We’re full. I’d love to meet (a hungry child). I can’t talk to them, they’re too big. They can’t get off their chair. …Have you ever seen a skinny, poor American child?”

McInnes won with 70, or 28%, of the 248 total votes cast. You can view the full poll and its results here.

Gavin has the potential to be the next mean-spirited, unfunny “comedian” on Fux Noise. D-List Dennis Miller should be nervous.
