George W. Bush was recently found to be one of the worst villains of all time, according to a poll of nearly 7,000 university students in 37 countries. So Fox’s Red Eye gave Bush their best Republican Rehab effort.
Guest host – and former CIA operative – Mike Baker announced that the news made him want to “devise a delivery mechanism that would shove a history book up the backside of every high school and college student.”
Doesn't that just make you hope the Patriot Act is renewed ASAP - not?
Bush placed fourth on the world's worst spectrum, right behind Hitler, Osama Bin Laden and Saddam Hussein. Bush was deemed worse than Mao, Stalin or Genghis Khan.
Baker further griped that Jesus “didn’t even crack the top five” of what a graphic called “history’s biggest heroes.” That must be a sign from God that the results are damnable!
Cohost Andy Levy announced, “It’s not just in America that millennials are awful.”
Fox News contributor KT McFarland described the respondents as “a lot of stupid people.” She announced (without pointing to anything to justify such a conclusion), “I just don’t think they know who Stalin was, they didn’t know who Hitler was, they sort of knew who George Bush was and so they didn’t like him.”
And, of course, she tried to make it about Obama. “The interesting thing is that Obama was on neither survey,” McFarland said. When Baker replied that he hadn’t thought of Obama, McFarland said Obama’s omission from the most-admired group represented a big fall in favor for him.
I noticed nobody came out and directly defended Bush or said he should not have been among the world's worst. Apparently, not even Fox News can go there.
You can check out the full survey here.
Watch the spinning below, from the May 21 Red Eye.
“a lot of stupid people.”
“I just don’t think they know who Stalin was, they didn’t know who Hitler was, they sort of knew who George Bush was”
She just described the fox news audience.
“Two endless Muslim wars. US economy in ruins. What is there not to like about Dumbya Bush?”
Unless, of course, you’re lucky enough to OWN STOCK in at least one of the following military contractors, because mark my words: EVERY SINGLE ONE of these companies have been ROLLING IN DOUGH since March 19, 2003, i.e. the date on which “Operation Shock and Awe” began:
HalliCheney – er, I mean – Halliburton
Lockheed Martin
General Dynamics
General Electric
Honeywell
United Technologies
DynCorp
Northrop Grumman
Boeing
The pronoun “you” is never very good on a website where a number of people post (especially when at least 2 comments were made before yours). If you’re going to use an insult (especially a slur), then be man (or woman) enough to “name names” when doing so.
Guess Mike didn’t consider the possibility that such an action MIGHT push Dumbya even HIGHER on the list — did you, Mike?
McFarland said Obama’s omission from the most-admired group represented a big fall in favor for him.
B-b-but I thought “polls didn’t matter; the only poll that counts is on Election Day” . . . at least, that’s the standard wingnut refrain whenever President Obama does appear on a “most admired” poll . . .
