On today’s Varney & Co., Stuart Varney discussed the lack of women executives and wondered if the company should become “politically correct” and appoint some. Notice how he just assumed the lack of women was because of lack of qualified candidates, not sexism? Then it got worse.
He discussed the issue with Scottie Nell Hughes of the Tea Party News Network.
Varney asked, “What do you think about the political correctness of pushing women into executive positions in tech companies?”
Hughes said, “Well first off, because the Tea Party is known for being so politically correct on that point - let me just point out - not, said no one ever. The reality is, no business should ever be obligated to bring on a woman, they should want to bring on a woman…”
Varney followed up. “It’s a very difficult question to ask actually because it’s politically incorrect. Is there something about the female brain that is a deterrent for getting on board with tech? Is there?”
Hughes said she thinks its' the “exact opposite. I think females all the time are embracing technology.”
This may be one of the worst questions ever asked on Fox but Hughes didn’t mind. She had moved on to criticizing liberals.
