Fox News’ James Rosen recently criticized Secretary of State John Kerry for not promoting Deputy Spokesperson Marie Harf to replace her former boss, Jen Psaki. But even that was too much Obama love for some conservatives.
It started when Rosen discussed with Megyn Kelly the appointment of Read Admiral John Kirby to Psaki’s spot. Rosen said a lot of the criticism against Harf “has been sexist in nature, juvenile in nature.” However, Rosen’s comments were as much an indictment of Kerry’s “somewhat disloyal” decision to pass over Harf as they were in her defense. In fact, Rosen agreed that some of Harf’s wounds were “self-inflicted.”
Nevertheless, that was just too much for some conservatives to bear. Steve Malzberg of Newsmax TV wondered in a tweet if Rosen had a “schoolboy crush” on Harf.
And a Tweeter named Laura Rubin accused Rosen and Kelly of sounding like MSNBC.
Because some people believe that even a backhanded compliment to the Obama administration is too complimentary.
