On The Five, newly-minted Fox News contributor Meghan McCain sounded more like a made-for-Fox News pundit and not much like the maverick kind of millennial Republican she has previously made her brand.
On Wednesday’s The Five, McCain launched a Fox-friendly against Hillary Clinton:
MCCAIN: I just love watching Hillary Clinton squirm like a worm on a hook, in a way that she’s doing. There’s nothing more entertaining. She looks like she’s in a prison jumpsuit which makes this even better. It’s all orange. And on top of everything else, this woman gives the American people every day less reason to trust her.
I don’t think this is funny. I don’t think that the four soldiers that died in Benghazi think it’s funny. If one e-mail, one of the 30,000 has one fact that can give us more information on what happened in Libya, it’s unbelievably disrespectful and in all seriousness, I can’t believe she’s going to be the nominee.
Later, McCain fell right in with the Fox News line when she said, “I think this could be this generation’s Watergate. I really do believe that.”
