Fox’s Chris Wallace Slams The GOP Debate As An ‘Embarrassment’ For The Party

Chris Wallace visited The O’Reilly Factor Friday night to discuss the CNN Republican debate of the night before. Let’s just say Wallace didn’t hold back from blasting the candidates’ unpresidential behavior.

WALLACE: Let me just say, first of all, big picture, I thought it was an embarrassment for the Republican Party. There were a lot of shots taken, a lot of shots scored, but there was precious little vision, almost no discussion, serious discussion of issues or what are you going to do, how are you going to improve people’s lives? And if you saw someone acting presidentially, on that stage, you’ve got better eyesight, Bill, than I do.

Boom.

It’s not often that Fox News hosts criticize Republicans so broadly or so bluntly. And while you could say that it was a bit easier for Wallace to do so given that it was a CNN debate, I’ll also argue that it once again shows the deep fissures that are rocking the GOP.

Watch it below, from the February 26 The O’Reilly Factor, via Media Matters.

Neither he nor any other Friday guest nor Bill noted how many times Christie blasted Trump

Oh good gravy, the Fox News alternative reality bubble is spinning out of the universe regarding the CNN GOP debate mud fight.

More amazing to me than Chris on “The Factor” was faux Fox lib Kirsten Powers playing along with Bill’s kabuki theater 🎦 claiming Der Furor’s debate performance was “calm”, “very strong”, and “on message”.

I’m speechless. 😜

Call me Nostradamus!

So I’m watching the “Fox & Friends” after the show segment for Friday. The curvy couch bobble-heads aren’t complaining about the substance-lite nastiness.

Nope. They’re all boasting Rubio and Cruz finally teamed up to take on Trump. Heck, they’re apparently surprised they didn’t act like children before and start throwing mud earlier. Asshat Doocy says Rubio fans finally had something to cheer about.

And they call themselves a news channel. Sheesh!

No matter how ridiculous the situation, the Fox News propaganda factory rarely misses a beat polishing the Republican brand. If they can’t spin this by blaming the CNN moderators who did lose control of the debate or put on a smiley face by crowing the mud fight proves how tough the Republicans are versus wimpy Democrats, they’ll eventually ignore it in favor of more #Benghazi! coverage or whatever.

Just don’t ever think you can keep the Fox propaganda factory down. Like Trump said, he could publicly murder someone and his fans would still support him. In fan Fox’s case they’d spin it as Der Furor demonstrating his strong support of the 2nd Amendment. 😉

When even the republican propaganda machine can’t find anyone presidential or anything presidential about their candidates, you know things can’t be going well for their party. As I see it, Trump is going to be the nominee. The only question left for disgruntled republican voters is: are you going to hold your nose and vote for him or stay home?
